There should be a rule against counting reviews when someone didn't finish the game.  Also, I can't believe this game is ~1 year old already.

My score though.  9.6.  Tight controls.  Solid pace.  Well developed mechanics.  Strong orchestrated pieces.

Gripes.

Analog stick 2D Platforming = :| for me  The 2D sections are very much playable but just feel awkward after quite a bit of 3D action.

Underdeveloped overworld.  The overworld lacked the sense of choice and branching paths games like SMB3 had.

Other than that, near perfect game.

Totally agreed. In fact, I propose yo_john creates a new rule:

"7. If you don't like the game, fuck off. Differing viewpoints are not wanted here."

A score is a score. If he thinks that a intricate storyline would make a game about plumbers riding on dinosaurs in space more enjoyable, then more power to him.

By the way, Rol, you gave the original a 9.2.

I... Was actually being sarcastic about that first part. I thought it'd be pretty obvious.

These threads are about sharing our opinions, positive or negative, about games. Prohibiting people who don't like the game from voting would result in these threads becoming nothing but metaphorical circlejerks.

Plus, it would result in all games being above the 9 range, since nobody's giving low scores. And that would be stupid.

There's been far more outrageous scores and justifications for said scores in other threads than Marco's.

If I feel like someone is putting a low score just to sabotage the game then I will remove that person's score....that said I am watching Marco carefully and If I suspect foul play I will ban him from the ranking games.

I loved the game from start to finish! Near perfect in every way and SO much fun to play :D

Well yeah, I agree, but a score so low when all the other scores are so high obviously shows sabotage to me, or an anomolus result. Either way, it should be removed

Well he's got a 5.0 for Lost Odyssey (lowest score for that game) and now a 5.2 for Super Mario Galaxy 2 (by far the lowest score for this game too). Maybe next game he'll bump his score up to a 5.4.
