- graphics is a little bit disappointing
- gameplay is too easy
- level bosses boring
Nintendo once again staged a good Jump'n Run, but it lacks the challenges and hardly any development visible. Part 3 will hopefully be a worthy successor to Part 1
the best RPG's are coming 2013 !!!! oh my god, this is perfect for RPG-GAMER = ) Ni No Kuni - 25 january, Time and Eternity, tales of xillia (PS3) and the maybe best game ever: metal gear solid ground zero

I can't find anything negative to say about it... Controls were good and responsive. Some levels were challenging (some were not... but I like some easier stuff too from time to time).
I enjoyed it all the way to the end, so I give it a 10.

Truely awesome platforming, a genre that I particularly enjoy to start with. This game got it all right and topped SMG which I didn't think it could. The new powerups were all good (especially Cloud Mario) and the Yoshi levels were really great. The best part is that the search for green stars is much more fun than redoing the same levels with Luigi in SMG, they offered new challenges and made you use moves you didn't need on the first playthrough (insane wall jumping, triple jumps on a moving platforms).
Also, anyone who complains about difficulty hasn't unlocked Grand Master Galaxy for sure.

No game should beat Galaxy 2 on this list. No game will beat Mario Galaxy 2 this gen. No game may ever beat Mario Galaxy 2.
Why? Because it's perfectly designed in almost every sense. The levels are lovingly crafted (and certainly the best level design I've ever seen), the music is the best in any game, period; the grapichs are great (not just for a Wii game, period. The graphics will look awesome long after games like COD and UC look dated), the difficulty is spot on (I died over 350 times on my way through the 242 stars, no time did I ever feel like I was cheated), the game is a great length (over 50 hours, infinitely replayable, and no repetition. Ever.)...need I go on?
Nintendo took the tired platforming genre and turned it into something truly magical. Nintendo topped what many considered to be untoppable. This doesn't just re-define the genre; it screws it up and throws away the old design.
Just like OoT did, it has set a benchmark for Nintendo, and pray they be careful. I can play that game for hours and never feel bored. It's just so vibrant. I smiled from start to finish. You have to wonder how they managed to do it. Sure, it's not got the 'WOW' factor from the first game, but it's the vastly superior game...
I said in my Tri review that there's only 2 games I'd give more than 9.5 to. Tri, and also Super MArio Galaxy 2. It is not perfect, but it's certainly the best game out there. I'd give it 9.8, but looking at the scores, I think it's only right to give it...
10.0
This amazing game deserves at least a 9.5, so that's what I am giving it. Even though it is very similar to the first title, the experience never gets old. I have completed the main storyline once, however I have not completed it a second time in order to get the extra stuff (I did complete the first SMG twice, once with Mario and once with Luigi, and the surprise ending galaxy was very nice). The gameplay was similar to the first SMG, but that is expected, since it is a direct sequel, and that's not really a big deal at all for me. But the addition of the new Mario suits, as well as Yoshi added just enough spice to make it feel like a totally new game. Once again, the soundtrack is fantastic. It is so amazing that I bought it on eBay, and I love it so much! My only complaint is that the storyline is bland and unorigional, but that's not very important, the important part is the gameplay, which is just as revolutionary as the first game.
Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.
Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

Somebody who complains about the story in a Mario platformer obviously isn't serious. I mean, come on. That's like complaining about the lack of critical and/or political lyrics in Vocal Trance tracks. |
Look at it from his position:
All the other scores are inflated because no-one took the weak story into account.

He should do. I could work it out for him, but surely he'd be able to see that when all other scores are from 8.5-10, that a score of 5.2 is going to unfairly skew the data :/
@non-gravity- I'm afraid Rol is right here. Story in Mario isn't favourable, we've come to expect that. It's like complaining about Zelda because it has no VA and/or guns. It never had it, and likely never will. So why deduct marks? If you're not a fan of the game, simply don't vote...
