The moment that guy started talking about cinematic experiences (Or someting along those lines, it was a long time since I saw that youtube video and I don't want to see it again just to make an exact quote) that moment was when gaming began to turn away from gameplay and into trying to be hollywood, or at least started soing so successfully :(

Keep in mind back then gaming was tame...the people in there were tame...or more reserved.

Now E3 conferences are almost like concerts, with people cheering a lot (except in Nintendo E3 2008).
