Wii - 3,343,982

i just wanted to say that im not big on dissing consoles i know how it feels there was alot of PS bashing back in 07-09, yes the wii has been way down YOY for some time now and i doubt the cut will do much ive even seen that its future in 2011 wasnt going to be good before wii2 was announced the point is its owned in sales for so many yrs im not going to jump on in now

unless its for owning others who think they know what there talking about my predictions are done on purpose in a humorous manner i dont try to pretend to know what im talking bout with big long analysis, mathematical equations and graphs

Lol, that made me laugh. The PS3 bashing you mentioned was backed up with a lot of "analysis, mathematical eaquations and graphs" by "intelligent" people that predicted PS3 was doomed and will go the way of the dreamcast.

Now it's wii-time. The way I see it is all the YOY rubbish don't mean much when no console is making SIGNIFICANT gains on the wii. This generation will end and wii will still be light years ahead in sales regardless of YOY claptrap.

Yes, quite likely, EMEAA had Wii price drop at the end of the week.

 

About this week.

Japan: meh HW, good SW

WW: excellent SW, excellent Wii (compared to its recent performances, not to its glorious past  ), good home consoles overall, while all the portables are down and 3DS is last with the biggest % drop. GT5 is back in EMEAA Top20 and WW Top40: in the week of Wii price cut and big SW launches, I saw it got wide shelf space anyway, I don't know why just last week (and this one too), but it looks like it worked.

The last $50 price cut was at the end of September, and had Wii Fit Plus a week later (month later in Europe), then NSMB a month and a half later.  The Wii went up every week through Christmas except for the second week of December (IIRC there was a deal at walmart in the first week).  There is nothing similar with this price cut.
