What I want:

  • Non-linearity. I want to complete dungeons in my own order.
  • No running around the starting village for thirty minutes. Just drop me off in the middle of Hyrule with no idea where to go, thanks.
  • An interesting story that is told in a similar fashion to Metroid Prime or Bioshock, i.e. without cutscenes.
  • Genuine difficulty. Twilight Princess is pretty easy, and Ocarina isn't exactly ball-busting, either. Wind Waker is just lol.
  • Stuff like this. And this. And a little bit o' this.

That's all I got for now.

This for me as well.

Stole my idea aswell good job!

I've never played Monster Hunter but I agree with the guy that said Zelda bossses should have less of a pattern in their attacks. He said like Monster Hunter. Zelda got bosses with many interesting patterns but it's boring if once you figure out the pattern, you just do the same thing thrice to win. Instead, mix in the pattern figuring out thing with head on pure combat...........sort of like God of war but without the QTEs.

Well, monster hunter has patterns too, but they aren't as immediately apparent, and there is a bit of AI and monster choice in play there. Zelda bosses pretty much run on a script, except that they can aim at you. And Zelda bosses are too big generally; like Stallord in Twilight Princess, or any boss in Spirit Tracks, just giant immobile pillars

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Nonlinearity wouldn't work. What you need is Metroid-style linearity, where the next area isn't apparent, but is ultimately inaccessible with your current equipment. More intense combat, weapons with broader usefulness, and bosses more like Monster Hunter, not in terms of length, but in terms of mobility and capability, something like, dare i say, the abominable Rathalos, that has multiple attacks and can really move outside a pattern

I agree 100%, while the gameplay on WW and TP was great, I would like better fights, and more challenging bosses...

 NO voice actors ever please...

orchestrated music and graphics like the art style they shown for SS...

HD Graphics, a guiding system so I don't waste time getting stuck. It needs voice actors and Link talking. It needs to be hard or at least have different difficulty choices. Basically I would change it up a lot even if the game is good it still has many annoying factors.

Well, there are always online guides but since Mario Glaxy 2 and Ocarina of Time 3DS have optional guides, I'm guessing we'll be seeing this feature more often in NIntendo's major adventure games. Personally, I want voice actors but Link talking would be too wierd cuz I've grown to love the guy that never talks even when everyone else does. I guess the one thing we've all listed the most is a harder difficulty.

Ocarina of Time was my first time of experiencing stealth in a video game. For me, no adventure game is complete without some stealth sections so 'the ultimate zelda' must have a few of those for me.

Link talking would not have to be I guess, but the Twilight Princess was so outdated with all text and the characters just making goofy sounds. You waste more time reading than is needed when a good video could delever it faster and add more personality to the characters. Yes the online guide helps, but it could be more like open world games that show your goals on a radar. People brag say the game is long well I say a little too long witch could be shortened and made sweeter by changing just a few things.

Dream Zelda game list:

- More like Majora's Mask, I liked the themes, the style and the overall atmosphere that Nintendo approached with the game, which only makes it more special because of how rarely they take that approach.

- I want it to look gorgeous. Ocarina, Twilight Princess and even the old NES and SNES games were extremely generic in terms of art design, they always nailed the music, but their artist never seemed able to nail what they were going for. Wind Waker was a good showing, but they also changed the whole game along with the art style, which wasn't something I wanted at the time. Something along the lines of a moodier Valkyria Chronicles, Tenga Toppa Gurren Lagaan, Soul Eater or Samurai Champoo would look fantastic. Otherwise they could take the realistic approach and make their games in a similar style to something like Assassins Creed 2 and use amazing environments, camera angles, heaps of detail and free roam to make up for a un-striking art design.

- I want it to be completely open. I want to be able to go to the village on my trusty steed, then sail to the far corners of the desert kingdom and just change course and return to the city to talk to every chracter and see what they have to say. Ocarina of Time was special because it made you feel like a child that was given free reign to explore a whole new world, look under every rock, meet interesting new characters, do every single side mission and just collect weapons and rupees.

- No motion control, get rid of that bullshit.

- Keep the plot simple, they've done well so far, but I just get worried that all these Zelda fanboys that spend hours discussing the 'Zelda timeline' are going to get into Nintendo's head and make them take some stupid risk with an overly detailed plot or just some crazy garbage. Nintendo's strength isn't in their storylines, just make it grand and epic and I'll be happy. Once again, Gurren Lagaan should be an example they look to.

- Copy the combat from Fable 2, maybe add a jump button, keep making good soundtracks, don't let anyone speak and make sure there are no cameos from other Nintendo games.

I could probably go on, but these are the main things I want.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.
