If it's digital only, I doubt it'll even hit 1 million. If it's retail as well, it'll be somewhere between 1-2 million.

the main thing is that MGS is a home console franchise...Peace Walker is a main title in the MGS series...there are really really much gamers that didnt buy Peace Walker just because they dont want to play a MGS on small screen some cause they dont got a PSP the PSP sales are not the real sales...you know how bad piracy is on the PSP ... selling over 1 million is like a given!
So you got like 2-3 million gamers that only own a PS3 got MGS4 and loved it the MGS hardcore base that buy MGS no matter on which console!
And i highly doubt this will sell at 60$...like you said its a port...i think 40$ sounds plausible!

im not into bets...i never made one...i know that Peace Walker will sell over 1 mill and i know with a bet i could punish you but like i said im not into bets...hope you understand it...i wouldnt even bet if someone say "the next Halo will not sell over 1 mill...do you wanna bet" :D

Ports don't generally outsell the original console. I expect the Japan sales to be lower by quite a bit.

On a different note, does anyone have any news on a MGS ps3 collection? Or at least MGS2 and 3 being released/remastered for ps3? Is anything confirmed?
Lastly, I read an article a long while ago that had Kojima eluding to bringing trophy support to MGS4. Anyone have any news on this?

but i think you forgot that the original console is the PSP...you cant get more piracy than that PSP is dead everywhere except Japan...PS3 on the other hand was never more alive than now it already got a 5mill MGS on it...
I exept for metal gear PW in ps3 MGS4-MGS PW in psp=3-4 millions
PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m
Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m
