 "Leave Britney Alone"

I want to see!

Lol, isn't a little past the expiration date to do a parody of that?

@ OP

This is really getting ridiculous.  If a company does something you don't like, you no longer buy from them or suggest them to others.  You know, like a mature adult.  Not try to bring them down like this.  Makes the hackers seem more like crying babies.  "Leave our Geohot/Other OS alone!"

Defensive much?Did the video hit a little too close to home?

I hate to break apart your view of capitalism, but it has never worked the way you described. For every smart, informed customer that votes with his wallet and buys from a given company, you will have thousands and thousands of fucking idiots who do. The corporate scene would be a much different place if it existed in your idealistic world.

Lol, did my comment hit too close to home?  It would take much more than a parody vid to strike a chord with me.

And who cares what idiots buy from a company you don't support?  You don't have to put up with their "bs", cause you went with their competition.  To actually attack a company you don't support seems pathetic and takes console/company "wars"  too far.  If someone is actually sitting there that steamed about a company that is against their company of choice, then yes, they have no life.

If this keeps up, it will be a big story when Sony isn't hacked. This is beyond sad.

The problem is that idiots outnumber the informed customers a thousand to one so the idiocy and a shitty company directly affect the informed customers solely because the given company will have a much, MUCH, larger share than they deserve, in some cases almost becoming a monopoly. As I said, I would LOVE to live in your idealistic world.

Someone should make that thread. Shut all those "leave Sony alone" types up. Though I bet they'd find something else to complain about.

I'm a Sony fan, but I don't mind this one. I freaking hate Sony Music. I hate all the big record labels.

Unfortunately that would probably be a epic failure. Given Sony has a penchant for not disclosing breaches in a timely manner. Not to mention given the number of breaches outed so far. There have probably been breaches that have gone unreported, because there were no victims other then Sony. Not to mention complete successes that were simply not detected by Sony, and might not be discovered for weeks or months.

you know what would be cool, if a group of hackers come to the rescue and go after all the douchebags that have been attacking sony....that will probably only happen in a movie though

As would the "leave Anon alone" crowd.

As for your previous comment.  Again, who cares?  Does Sony have a monopoly in ANYTHING it competes in?  Hell no.  And this is why competition is a good thing.  A company does something you disagree with, you switch companies.  You don't cry about it and act like that company is some evil giant and try to bring them down through illegal means.  If you must get out the message, blog about it, legally protest them, don't recommend them to your friends.

Unfortunately, we have these holier than thou types who think they must "educate" the idiot shoppers and take down the company themselves, because others aren't as smart as them.  Of course, what they don't see is that those people aren't idiots.  They just don't have the same opinions as them and don't care about that certain action the company took.  This is why people equate them to terrorists, because that is how they carry out their actions.  "If you don't agree with us, we'll force our opinion upon you, or harm you trying."

Absolutely ridonkulous
