I dunno if i'd risk that... I'd wait till Wensday and post a "Sony was not hacked on Tuesday" post.
I mean, you might post it tommorrow and they might get hacked at like 10 o clock.

I don't think anyone here is sympathetic for Anon other than the Sony boys' assumption.
We are saying Anon's not involved based on logics presented. By blaming on Anon and going after them, Sony would be chasing the wrong guys and that's a bad thing.

As would the "leave Anon alone" crowd. As for your previous comment. Again, who cares? Does Sony have a monopoly in ANYTHING it competes in? Hell no. And this is why competition is a good thing. A company does something you disagree with, you switch companies. You don't cry about it and act like that company is some evil giant and try to bring them down through illegal means. If you must get out the message, blog about it, legally protest them, don't recommend them to your friends. Unfortunately, we have these holier than thou types who think they must "educate" the idiot shoppers and take down the company themselves, because others aren't as smart as them. Of course, what they don't see is that those people aren't idiots. They just don't have the same opinions as them and don't care about that certain action the company took. This is why people equate them to terrorists, because that is how they carry out their actions. "If you don't agree with us, we'll force our opinion upon you, or harm you trying." |
I want you to highlight exactly were in my posts I have used the name Sony. But if you wanna look at sony let's look at it. What is the point to switching away from sony AFTER your information was leaked? Seems kind of pointless to me since your information is already gone. Best you can do is lambast it and humiliate it to set an example for other companies out there. Also educated the idiot masses, it's not a "holier than thou" attitude, it's more of an "i'm more educated than you" road.

Yeah, that's why i laugh at people who say they are going to leave. I mean, Sony lost peoples information from 10 years ago! Not in a hacking case so much as they left it open for anyone with Google to find. (The 2,500 sweepstakes people).
Sony ain't gettin rid of your info because apparently they're too lazy to get someone to delete customers info who haven't used anything sony in 5 years. (5 years being Industry standard for data keeping as far as I know.)

I will once you highlight where I said I was speaking of people leaving because of the info leakage. Just to help, I'm speaking of the hackers. These hackers are doing this because they are angry at the removal of Other OS and the lawsuit against Geohot. What I'm saying is if those people were actually mature adults, they would have switched to MS or Nintendo, not cry about it and try to take down Sony.
And your last sentence perfectly illustrates my point. These hackers are arrogant, as illustrated greatly by Geohot's rap video. They think they are untouchable and that their opinion is the only right one, so they will go to almost any length to try and force it upon others. Case in point, Other OS. The vast majority (probably 99.9%) of consumers didn't care about the feature or its removal. But instead of dealing with that fact like big boys, they tried to enforce their will on that vast majority. It's the same mindset of those in charge of terrorist groups have. They don't care that the majority of people don't share their ideals, they are going to enforce those ideals on others. Often with very dangerous/deadly results.

As I already outlined, people are idiots therefore your conventional means are basically worthless in the face of mass consumer idiocy. Not that the hackers went about it the right way, but your way is thoroughly retarded either. Do you honestly think that just because you don't buy from Sony (you also seem to think that Sony produces is a console, kinda funny) and don't recommend them they will get hurt?
Your last paragraph perfectly illustarted my point. Not fighting for something you bought, even if you don't use it, is downright close-minded and idiotic. I hate to say it, but the nature of education (gathering of information in this case) is that people who are more educated statistically are correct more often than those who are not. Statistically, there are far more uneducated people out there than educated ones. You can't change that.
