Can't judge a game based on one level.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

*facepalm*. I know the formal definition of what on-rails is.

But you don't understand how games have evolved (in a bad way) and restricted the player movement and interactivity to such a minimum that it resembles on-rails. "Linear" is not a too strong word anymore to describe the directed theme park joy-ride that is Uncharted and Call of Duty and most other modern shooters.

In the shooter world Medal of Honor started this phenomenon and Call of Duty refined it.

I have to wonder why it matters so much? Sounds like you aren't interested, which is fine, but why drag the point into the ground? Many don't agree with you (myself included), but it's not going to get anywhere when it continues to derail the thread.

I have to defend why i called it on-rails instead of linear.

(and I'm pretty sure I'm extending the life of the thread since it would be buried by now anyway)

no, you dont have to defend anything since you shouldnt have entered this thread to make the comment to begin with.

Im tired of this setting already!! Besides the setting the gameplay looks kinda linear and boring in my opinion.

So I think I'm gonna pass on Resistance3!!

I don't see how this is an on-rail shooter. Linear yes, but if you have full control over your character, it can't be on rail.
