WTF their are people here who liked Wind Waker?

Boat sailing, less dungeons, Studio Ghibili wannabe wind waker?  Thats it hand in your zelda fanclub cards, your done.

You like MadWorld, so you better just shut up.

Its true, Windwaker is less than on offer than Ocarina of time, came out on much powerful hardware and it gave less.  It has no reasons to excuse to deliver on less because of its artstyle either (cell shading takes less time to render being its all flat textures.)

So Nintendo cheap out on the graphics and still give you less gameplay and easier combat, filled in with lots of long tedious sailing and tingles trificore piece quest.  Why does this game deserve any recongition as a good zelda?  Its not.  Its Nintendo at its laziest.

ripppppppppppoffffffff.

XD Okay... first off I must say that Princess Mononoke is one of my favourite films, and Wind Waker is my favourite video game.

I'm not getting defensive, I just feel the need to correct you on a few things. So, the Kodama aren't characters created from the mind of Hayao Miyazaki... they actually originate from japanese folklore... so you can't really say that Wind Waker copied from Princess Mononoke. Also, I'm not sure if you know this, but the Korok are apparently deformed (though still cute) descendants of the Kokiri from Ocarina of Time, so at least they have an interesting back story to differentiate from the kodama.

Lol, sorry to get technical, but I just needed to say that :D .

OoT is the best Zelda game.

It's just popular to say that you like MM more because it almost makes sense when you're stoned and therefore is deep.

I was the very first person on the Zelda board at IGN along with my friend Kyle, (Link223), who started opening people's eyes to the amazingness of Majora's Mask. That board used to be filled with OoT fanboys, and soon enough we converted the entire board to love Majora's Mask the most. That was back in 2005.

Nice to see that in my four year hiatus not much has changed. =) Good work, Kyle!

I've said for a long time that Majora's Mask--along with Link's Awakening--are the best games in the franchise.  Largely because they're the different, and therefore, unique ones.

Ocarina of Time easily. Not even a debate. I think those choosing Majora's Mask are mostly people just wanting to rebel against the establishment and probably weren't here when Ocarina of Time was released. Ocarina of Time was a groundbreaking masterpiece, the most impactful build-up and release of a videogame in history. As a Zelda title, Ocarina of Time is the definitive game of the series. Majora's Mask was merely just a side-quest to that... Although I would consider Majora's Mask as the #2 Zelda game. I liked almost every Zelda game though; Twilight Princess I didn't care for, and Zelda 1 I loved as a kid, but can't even play now.

MM came out only two years after OoT.  I think that less people played MM due to sales, the diferent orientation, art design and the decline of the N64, so, if anything, OoT will always have an advantage due its greater sales and impact on the gaming community.

I reckon that less people who voted have played MM, simply due to the circumstances of when the game was launched,  so the game must be quite beloved to be beating the better known and universal OoT

As much as I like Majoras Mask it's not one of my top few. Some of the music was excellent and the story wasnt bad but I wasnt a fan of time limits in dungeons (just because it took away the go at your own pace feel)  and the blatant recycling of content from OoT was a bit... unusual. Saying that if Nintendo were to remake Majoras Mask in the same fashion as OoT I'd be more than happy.

I love MM but OoT is the better game for me

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

As much as I love Majora's Mask, and as many strengths as it has, I think the Ocarina of Time is the more well-rounded game, and ever so slightly better overall, so I'd choose that one.

Both are neck and neck for my favorite game of all time, though.

I'm one of the 'odd' ones who thinks Wind Waker is the greatest Zelda game.

you're not alone, so do I.  I'm pretty sure Darth thinks so as well

You're both not alone. That one was the greatest zelda for me.
