Forums - Gaming - Your favorite game so far this Year!

Crysis 2 so far this year: Enjoyed the MP enough (though it has some hit detection/lag issues that were just recently fixed finally) and the SP was engrossing. Was also impressed that our current systems can handle such great graphics (especially the 360, I don't own a PS3) so it was nice.

The only two games I haven't played that I know I might like better are Dead Space 2 and Portal 2. I loved Portal 1 but don't have enough time/money to dedicate to Portal 2, so I'll probably be getting it next year. I am defenitely gonna get Dead Space 2 when the price is right because I loved the first one.

Only other game I can think of that was really good this year was MVC3 - I thought they wouldn't be able to pull off the magic they did with MVC2, but they came pretty close.

MK9 was great for the hardcore MK fans but I still feel It's too stiff of a game to match with the likes of SFIV.

Test Drive Unlimited 2, while having potentially more freedom then the first TDU, was the biggest dissapointment.

Honestly this year has been weak to me so far. Combine the inevitable holiday delays this holiday next Spring/Summer looks to be bigger, even with Mass Effect 3 and Ghost Recon alone. Also looking forward to SF x Tekken.

It's just that simple.

Best game released in 2011? Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

Best game I played for the first time in 2011? Minecraft, indubitably.

Mooooooortal Kombaaat!

Portal 2 for me

I haven't played the Witcher 2 yet, but it could become my number one

The online side of the game is still very much frustrating for me, (somtimes taking up to 3-4 minutes to find an opponent and terrible lag at times) but looking at the game as a whole (and hoping the online play improves one day) i would have to go with................

Mortal Kombat.

The gameplay is tight, the combos once mastered can be devestating for your opponent, and the Fatalities and Babalities for the most part are simply fantastic.

So yeah, Mortal Kombat gets my vote.........

Well, until Guardian Heroes arrives in the summer anyway.

Haven't played any game from 2011 so I say Assassin's Creed II which I'm playing currently. What a fantastic game that puts Uncharted (and Infamous) to shame.

Portal 2 an d Pokemon White are the only 2011 games I liked so far (and that I managed to play actually).

I've only played one, Crysis 2, and that was fairly good.

Great graphics but it gets repetitive after a while.

the entire game is repetitive, almost all enviroments look the same and has the worst performance of any game this year

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

In a totally unexpected predicament, I can't think of a single 2011 release that has really done anything for me.  I haven't bought Dead Space 2, LA Noire, or........I can't think of anything else.  I'm sure those games are great.  Aside from those, 2011 has been a big disappointment so far.

I guess I'll go with Back to the Future on PSN.
