I'm not entirely convinced by the genetic factor simply because I know twins, and one of them is gay and one isn't. Now, I've never met the straight one, so he could be closet or something. I've been told that he's a real bro douchebag, so he could be doing the "rebelling" thing.
I believe that part of it comes from genes and part of it from nurture/environment. I believe the nature part is simply natural genetic predisposition (like hormone levels [which are different for nearly everyone]) and part from experiential predisposition.

As a gay man my whole life and who has been gay my WHOLE life, it's definitely "born." Yes, I fooled around with a couple women when I was younger, but I couldn't for the life of me figure out what the big deal about sex and all that was. The first time I kissed a guy, I was like, "Ohhhhhhh! NOW I get what the fuss is all about."

Frankly, I'm scared of girl parts. I head some of them have teeth.



Can't we all just get along and play our games in peace?

yes, well i guess it was just one, then eve was made, so for a little it was just one, but yes, basically 2

yes.  animals can make choices, just because some humans can manage more complex thoughts than other creatures does not mean they are incapable of any thought at all.  i find your speciesism is sickening.

yes. However, I am aware that there are also such thing as "in utero" developmental changes. Twins have different birth marks. Some can inherit diseases while the other one doesn't. Hell, animal twins often don't even have the same coloration.

I believe that it is a portion of genetic disposition plus something else, whether it be another factor such as "in utero" or nuture/experiential development.

You're actually comparing homosexuality with murder? You must understand that homosexuality is only wrong in your religion "because God says so". Homosexuality isn't not intrinsically wrong (on the contrary, it's normal and beneficial for the homosexual). Since it's an inherent characteristic of a homosexual, calling it a "sin" IS hate speech (it's essentially like calling menstruation a sin, or having black skin a sin).
