This.  I love the promise of a more mature storyline dealing with actual adult issues.  And it's made by the team that does Persona with all the weird setting and enemies that come with that.  How can you not be hyped?  To assume that everyone who is excited is just doing so for the sexiness is just stupid (obviously, not you Cactus).

I would be willing to bet that the vast majority of buys for this game are based purely on some teenagers hope to see breasts.

The game looks interesting, it's a shame I have to buy it pre-owned, a few months after it release. I'm already committed to buy Uncharted 3, inFAMOUS 2, Twisted Metal and Dark Souls this year. ~_~ Need more money.

From what I've seen so far on the internet it's just a mediocre puzzle game. People are excited about the "mature themes" it contains, but in my opinion  if you are a teen and you want to watch cartoons having sex cause you are bored of real porn , do yourself a favor and download a hentai.it won't cost you the full price of a blu ray game

The creator of the game was annoyed that they were using sexuality for the main advertisement of the game.  I'm sure there are plenty of people that are excited for that aspect of the game but I would say the most hype comes from the people that have played the Persona or other SMT titles.

No offense to the fans, but I'm sure its mostly appealing to the same crowds who obsess over things like Cowboy Bebop, Big O, FLCL and No More Heroes.  It has a similar art style, quirky design and 'adult' themes.

The game I'm confused about is LA Noire.  If anyone but Rockstar was releasing the game, and it didn't have a multi-million dollar ad campaign, I bet people would completely ignore it for being a 'Boring Detective' game.  Not that I think that way and I'm kind of interested in it.  But I still don't see how it has this massive fanbase even before it releases.

Very true, I'm rather looking forward to it I just hope it picks up faster than the Persona series -_-' I simply can't get into them because it feels like I'm wading through mud to get to a part where it picks up and catches my interest and usually I never get to that point, it's much like the WAY too much text of Super Paper Mario, that on the other hand had jokes in the text to keep me going but most text in that game could have been cut out and I feel the same way about a lot of the Persona titles.

For all my negativity Catherine does look like it takes off pretty fast and keeps a nice pace which is what I want.
