@grimes

yeah you should hurry and make a thread on that... it should add nicely to all the others you've done recently

No one is stoping you from playing games... and why dont you have a 360 anymore? Let me get this straight, youve had a ps3 before. you got rid of it. youve had a 360 youve got rid of it. you now have a ps3 and you want to get rid of it sand now you want to get a 360?

Sounds to me like your just not a happy fellow.

No, I had other obligations in life and did not play games for about a year. I sold my machines so they didn't sit around and gather dust.

Worked for me...and I didn't need to go to my email to change my password. Wonder why some people have to do it differently?

This is my second PS3. That probably has something to do with it.

But what confuses me is my cousin had to do it by email even though I didn't and we both play on the same PS3 (which is our first)

That's not confuse... every account with no downloaded content have to change the password via email.

"If using a PS3, your password can only be changed on your own PS3 (or a PS3 on which your PSN account was activated), as an added layer of security. If you have never downloaded any content using your account on the system, an email will be sent to the registered sign-in ID (email address) associated with your account when you first attempt to sign-in to PSN. This e-mail will contain a link that will enable you to change your password. In this email, click on the link and follow the instructions to change your password. Once you have changed your password you can sign-in to your account using your new password."

But rocketpig has bought psn game according to him....

In the system (PS3) he wants to do the password reset? You have to have at least one download content in your system for that account.

that sucks, luckily I was able to change my password via PSN

Ok, that makes sense.

I wouldn't even be this irritated if I had more than 3-4 hours a week to play games. I get a few hours in on Sunday evening to play and that's about it for the week. I'm busy pretty much from wake to sleep every other night. I got my hopes up that I might be able to do something on PSN when I ran the system update.

That's really disappointing to hear. You actually want to play the PS3? What a damn shame.

If anyone else said that, they would probably be banned pretty quickly.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

And you already tried to sign on to PSN using your old password on your Ps3?

After the system update, it says my current PW is invalid.

I cant imagine how you'd be like if instead your internet provider was down or even maybe electricity in your house.

ehm? and u wouldn't be bothered about that? u even human bro?

anyway rocket compare it with vgc and 15 million peeps wanna log in here not gonna go well

Is it wrong to expect more of Sony? Why can't I expect them to do something right after three weeks of screw-ups?

3 weeks of screw ups? your acting like sony tripped over the power cable and created the outage themselves and was full of butterfingers and kept fumbling with trying to plug it back in

You are right... it was more like months and probably years of screwups that only effected us for about 3 weeks.

It's wrong to only count it as a screw up from the time they were caught dozing.
