Why do they seem to announce games right before e3?
Look at Starhawk (fairly close to e3)
Socom 4
Killzone 3
Infamous 2 and others.
What is the point of e3 if you are just going to announce games right before it. Lastly, what was guerilla games new ip? Have they even announced it yet?

It seems they have still enough unnanounced :D
Only reason for Sony not to do this is to please PS3 fanboys
it's sony...they have to tell us how they plan on marketing the psn on coca cola bottles at e3 rather than talk about games

They distribute their announcements throughout the year and announce them like a year before at least. So there will announcements at gamescom, spike awards, E3 and all other kinds of events. They are not US centric to only focus on e3.
Their logic last year is that they had the most momentum and hype going into E3. This year it frees space for NGP and the inevitable pie charts and montages and whatnot.

Exactly, i would much rather be entertained by cirque du soleil at E3 then drink coca cola..

Building hype going into E3, that and I don't think E3 is that big of a deal to them. I'm sure there are more announcements to come. Sony is a multi-billion dollar company, I think they know what they're doing marketing-wise. So no worries, I doubt we've even seen a fraction of what's to come. That goes for all 3, Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony.
