And racing games like Rage Racer ,Rollcage ,Wipeout XL ,Ridge Racer Type 4 (pure awesomeness for the system ) ,Colin Mc Rae ,V-Rally, Gran Turismo 1 and 2 ,WRC ---it had the best racing games of the time .

If nobody has mentioned it yet, stay clear of Valkyrie Profile and/or Suikoden II unless you are willing to pay between $100-200 per game, Suikoden being the pricier of the 2.

If you want something that you will pretty much only find on the PS1 and is well worth the system + game purchase price? Go with Vagrant Story.

I have yet to find a game, past or present that gives all that game did as well as include a great and memorable storyline and excellent soundtrack, specially the background sounds.

If you want Interactive Puzzle Solving, Great Stroyline to go with great Strategic RPG battle system, excellent weapon/armor creation system, etc... give it a go if that's your kind of thing.

Do you know if the R&C games were good for ps1? I love Mario and other platformers so i would definately try that.

Get Klonoa and all the Crash Bandicoot games and Symphony of the Night. Easily the best games on the system.
