Forums - Gaming - Games that deserve more attention.

Lots of PC games I played in the last 2 years which most members of this site have never heard of, e.g.

Gemini Rue, Ceville, The Whispered World, A New Beginning, Lost Horizon, Patrician IV, Runaway: A Twist of Fate, Edna & Harvey: The Breakout, Drakensang: The Dark Eye, Anno 1404, The Book of Unwritten Tales.

Valkyria Chronicles. Close to 1 million in sales but definitely deserves more. Pity they never trophy patched.

Fuck you for not buying it yet and fuck you for maybe reading my post and still not buying it. It's one of the greatest games of the generation and the death of Cavia is one of the worst gaming tragedies in the history of this entertainment medium. Youtube and reviews aren't going to tell you what the game is, hell, I can't even tell you what the game is, but if you give it your time and patience, then you'll see that all the problems you have ever had with Sqaure Enix will be wiped away. It's like $20, don't be an asshole and just buy it. I bought Demons Soul's because of you guys and after trying and playing it again, I've decided that it sucks balls and takes way too much time, you owe me.

Im totally with you, this game got my interest since I first saw some vids, and I knew the reviewer would rip it apart because of the graphics but I know this game is awesome even though I have never played it! Im always looking for a great deal to buy it! thanks for warming it up again!

inFamous (should be a 5mil plus seller imo)

Valkyria Chronicles

Darksiders

*Kick-ass video*

Hrmph. I shamelessly promote this game to everyone I know who's even slightly interested in gaming on every God-given opportunity, and now I forget to mention it.

@ MrT-Tar

Yeah, because an awesome game not getting released in Europe is totally unprecedented. *smiley to sound less dick-ish*

OT:

Another game I want to talk about is Phantom 2040 for the Super Nintendo and Genesis.

(The guy in the video isn't very good, btw, but it's the best video I bothered to find that somewhat represents the game in its entirety.)

Haven't heard of it? Me neither, until a few months ago, when I bought it from a Finnish auction site. Basically, it's a Metroidvania game, with a hint of Vectorman. (In the sense that it has a large focus on jumping, shooting and ducking.)

The 48-character (Yeah, you read right) password system is a big pain in the ass, but I'd still recommend it for fans of the genre. Does it replace Super Metroid or SotN as the all-time classics? Lolno. Not in any way. But it should still be a fun, inexpensive source of amusement for you, if you enjoy exploration-based action games.

Somebody already mentioned  Vanquish?

Good. Everyone should play that game.

But here's something I'm playing now:

You guys should play it too.

Blue Dragon for Xbox 360.  I grabbed for cheap a couple of years ago and never bothered to play it.  The reviews weren't too impressive for this game, either.  I don't know what the expectations were for an RPG back when it was released but the game shits on most of the JRPG's I've played this gen.  It's a great looking game with fun characters, a traditional battle system, and a cool leveling system.  I can't stop playing it.  It's old school at it's finest.

Prototype is better. U mad?

No it's not. Far more difficult and the story sucks.

that sounds like a better game lol

Really? That's like saying you would play Call of Duty on Veteran for fun.

Blue Dragon, Condemned, Vanquish and the new Castlevania

I played it for a few hours but eventually got annoyed...

It seemed too childish, and that MaruMaro thing (I forget the name) is by far the most annoying character ever. Ever.

The game itself is gorgeous though!
