Every numbered AC Game will feature a brand new ancestor and new location.

This is Revelations, which wil be finishing off Ezio's story aka his trilogy which started with AC II, continued with AC Brotherhood and the finale of his story, AC Revelations.

If assassins creed 3 comes out next year it would probably mean the game is using the same engine as the current games, so it will probably play similar as well. Or maybe the game has been in development for a while wand has major changes. Hmmmm either way im looking forward to it! Quality franchise... always improving over previous iteretions.
