This is rediculous and Anonymous needs to stop this shit already, its getting old. At the very least they have done significant damage to Sony though on a mainstream persons perspective who hasn't researched whats going on. Report: Hackers plan third attack on Sony Hackers are planning a third "major" attack on Sony websites, according to a Cnet report. The allegation comes from an observer in a chat channel used by hackers, who saw discussion of a plan to launch an attack this weekend. The witness relayed the info to the tech news site. The hackers allegedly already have access to some of Sony's servers, and plan to go public with the personal information they find in their attack. It is not clear from the report whether or not these hackers are part of the Anonymous group. Whoever they are, it is not likely that they're acting as part of the group, as Anonymous has stated it was not involved in the recent attacks on PlayStation Network and Sony Online Entertainment servers. DID YOU PAY ATTENTION OR YOU JUST DON'T GET IT. IT'S NOT ANONYMOUS

Anon doesn't exist. There's nothing to blame. The specific individuals who are prominent in organising IRC channels under the Anon name and so on are denying this, which I believe because they would publicise anything they did, that's the point. All this will lead to is those individuals being investigated for no reason. |
An Anon was involved in the attacks and claims to be part of Anonymous and due to Anonymous strucure that makes them part of Anonymous which is why any claims that "It wasn't Anonymous, it was Anonymous because Anonymous left proof they were involved while Anonymous claimed no responsiblity for Anonymous" is just stupid....
You know what would be epic hillarity?
Anon hacks into Sony and track down the real hacker(s).
Understand that these attacks agasinst Sony will go on for a VERY long time. When they release their PS4 which is rumored to release in 2014, it will get brutally hacked as well. I do not care about them. They like to take advantage of their $$$ to modify consumer rights. I dont give a shit about them. They messed with poison.

A bitter reply this is. What did they do to you I wonder?
On topic, the article says: "The Hackers claim they currently have access to some of Sony's servers."
I presume they are not refering to the servers currently turned off and being rebuilt with no doubt different architechture, access rights and firewalls.
Hmm, pie.

Man your logic is awsome. What a point, I never thought about it like that. Wait a min, That makes no sense. wouldn't it be smart to leave someone off on a wild goose chase, rather then to your self. Anonymous is easy to point the finger at and I wouldn't be surprized if sony put the note in there there self. Anonymous does not give a sh-t to say if they did something or not, so why would they hide from this? They wouldn't , you just need someone to blame, PERIOD. GET off it already. No one knows who did it. IF anonymous did it, they would say something like suck are nutz for whatever reason and be on with it. They went after way higher targets and came out swinging. So you just need someone to blame because your mad and upset. It's ok, calm down, everything is going to be ok. Tell you what, if it was them, things are not going to be ok.

Only time will tell. Who's knows if they got insiders at sony. Most likely not but maybe sony pissed off some workers too. "GO BACK TO WORK DOUCHE BAG." THATS IT I'M GOING TO F THEM UP" Maybe something like that. LOL No probably not.
Sony did try to trample on rights and others don't take kindly to that.
Honestly I am sort of sick of the pirates and hackers that are ruining the industry. From leaking games for download to crashing networks. These people are criminals and I have no simpathy for them. I hope every last one of them is arrested and goes to jail.
On the other hand according to Sony themselves PSN had very poor security. I agree with some of the lawsuits currently lodged against them for negligence. I hope that these events cause Sony to invest more in security and send a strong message to Nintendo and Microsoft to ensure their networks are also safe.
Sony's not my favorite company but these guys are cyber terrorists and theives. My credit card info was on Sony's servers and now I have to watch my card doesn't get used.
Sony , FBI , CIA, CSIS bring these a holes to justice and lock them away for a very long time!

Insiders are usually the easiest to find and get to so I doubt anything as simple as that is a reason for access. Hackers exploited weaknesses in security and firewalls to get in. The is probably as big of an issue for the server security providers Sony hired as much as Son'y themselves (I doubt Sony developed it's own security software, instead pays thousands a month for a provided service).
If these people were really doing it because of Rights abuses, I can think of many more worth while candidates to attack then Sony. All companies are subject to customer rights violations, from little details in EULAs meaning you can't do things you do everyday to tracking your movement wherever you go without telling people.
Hmm, pie.
