Forums - Gaming - June Cover Revealed: Assassin's Creed Revelations

I honestly don't know why people's like this series so much. I played/beaten part 1-2 and the game is somewhat boring to me. Looks like Ubisoft is milking the series...

I am excited!  I like Ubisoft and Assassin’s Creed and don't mind if they have a cash cow like AC to keep them in business while they try other types of games.  I also like their wacky and goofy Rayman/Rabbid Rabbids (Wii) games for group play.

It was wonderful to climb up through Florence Cathedral and medieval Venice and such.  The Art History buff in me was very happy.  Constantinople  seems like a good choice.

Now, as good as this game looks now, just imagine what it will look like on the Next HD Consoles. (drools)

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Constantinople? I don't know... Starting to get tired of European settings. I would much prefer Egypt, or China, or Aztec Mexico.

Just say that Desmond also had some Egyptian ancestry or something, or just make Abstergo kidnap another subject. I don't really care, I'd happily let a few plot holes slide for a more interesting setting.

Oh, and... "Revelations"? A biblical reference? In a game title? Nice one, Ubisoft! I stand in awe at your ingenuity.

All whining aside, though, I still like Assassin's Creed, and will likely pick this up. (Though I haven't even bought Brotherhood yet. )

I think Constantinople will be awesome to see actually. And I really disagree with you, Reasonable. I really don't care about the storyline at this point. The Desmond sequences have always been mehworthy to me, and that part of the storyline I haven't cared about much at all. The great storylines in AC II and Brotherhood to me are the ones in Ezio's time period. Nevermind that I actually get more enjoyment from the gameplay and exploring medieval cities than I do from the games stories.

Anyway, I hope Ubisoft improves the stealth missions and free running for a change, since those're the only main things that have bugged me about this franchise in general.

This pretty much sums about how i feel. I love walking around in the cities so beatifully rendered. Rome was bit harsh but Florence was just magical. The music, the people, the vibe is just excellent. I am quite looking forward to it.

Yea the stealth mission where we have to follow some slow walking person on top of the buildings is a bit annoyning. I don't mind the free running. Also borgia towers were hit and miss. I enjoyed them in the beginning but towards the end i was just tired of them.

Anyone considered that this is 3, they just stopped numbering them(which would actually make this 4). And Brotherhood was anything but  a side-story since it advanced the story in a major way.

A new AC each year for the last 3?? is this what i want a great franchise to turn into - not really.

i would prefer a sequel to Prince of Persia 2008 Ubisoft than a new AC each year.

It's milking but who can blame them when it's so hugely successful? And Ubisoft still manages to provide the greatest quality possible with these games. The best new IP in this gen and every game is as polished as they can be.

And the Assassin's Creed dev team easily has over 300 people in it. Naughty dog, Treyarch and many others make bi-yearly games but their teams are like 90 people. So you do the math which franchise gets the most development resources.

this was disappointing i was expecting something new (AC3) and instead we get this, this milking. Shame on you Ubisoft

I find it hilarious when people try to say AC is milking a franchise.

Considering how different and vastly improved each game has been over the other it blows me away ANYONE could accuse them of milking.

Especially since each one has been in an entirely different setting.  You do realize the only thing thats conistant with the franchise right now is Ezio?  Most franchises use the same character so who cares if they make 3 games with him?

this will be the third game with the same character, in as many years. Personaly i hate yearly franchises.

Well i care, i didnt like Ezio in his first game, so i want them to make AC3 new time period new character.

Do you hold every franchise to the same standard?

Do you expect every game in a franchise to have a brand new character and a brand new timeline?

Thats whats so funny about people claiming Ubi is "milking" AC just because they are sticking to a similar timeline and character when no one else holds any other franchise to the same standard.

Fans like Ezio, and they are taking the game to an entire new locatinon and this one features all three Assassins introduced in the series as playable characters.  This seems FAR from milking a franchise to me.  Just because its yearly quality hasn't suffered at all.

?What is this guy like 50? and is it me or is this turning into kingdom hearts?

Got Portal 2 for $40 and great news about the next AC game. Today was a good day.
