I'd say even more so, (at least pre-PSP/DSi) since they're gaming devices through and through, and not multimedia devices like home consoles nowadays.

It also caused Nintendo to reach a reality check that you can't sell everything. Your not invincable. It changed Nintendo's marketing and buisness strategy from then on. It was a huge influence on modern and pre modern gaming!

not disagree with the reason of the virtual boy but even with this, he don't deserve to be in the top 5...


It didn't say top ten consoles, or best consoles. It said most important and Virtual Boy was very important thats why I listed it as number 5.

Well, it ceratinily wasn't important because of the motive you said it was, because they keep doing the same stupid things again and again.


What stupid things are they doing again and again? I gotta admit their launch of 3DS was poorly concieved, they should have advertised more. But I think their move wasn't as bad as Virtual Boy and I think they learned plenty of things from the VB launch that still effect how they make products today.

I'm not taliking about marketing, you just have to compare the 3DS with prevous Nintendo handhelds and you'll see plenty of differences.
