My browser is freaking out so I already listed my Pro's above and I'll give my cons and final score in this post.

 

Cons

 

-long load times can be an issue.

- Career mode can drag after a while, its extremely long.

 

Overall like a said fantastic game and I'd rate it a solid 9.2

best car selection ever at least for me has 2 cars with interiors that i actually own in real life the 90 camaro and 87 trans am and inclusion of 1/4 mile drag racing really added points for me

forza 3 is an excellent game thats made for all ages, its a sim racer at heart with an arcade style campain overlay to make core game interesting, it has good online features with great customisation on cars and very good audio design.

my main gripe would be they have made it to cater for a larger audience instead of focusing on the sim side, interior models could be improved for the next instalment, and cars whilst they look good, when on track looking at them they dont seem anywhere as good as gt5 cars, but again gt5 and forza are different style of games and its difficult to make a comparitive review of them. best buy both imo

Damn how could I have forgotten about that! The load times were attrocious!

ye they are quite long wether installed or not, but its a racing game so its not as bad as lets say a fps

another point on the cons i forgot, is that the full game ie extra tracks and cars are only availiable if you have a HDD

but i still quite like it but prefer the old style single player of forza 2, where you can only take part when reaching certain level and exp. i just think the grind to get better is more suited to sim racers imo working your socks off to save money for that car you wanted is much more satasfying than playing through a season mode

Yeah the only reason why I didn't mention the second disc thing is because it didn't affect me...it certainly is a con for some people but i'm not one of them lol.

And I agree, season mode in F3 just doesn't feel as rewarding as as F2's single player progression (and even that wasn't very good) I hope with F4 that they make the single player much more enthralling then past games have been, give me a good reason to keep playing your game Turn 10! (other then the achievements)


well from tht leaked trailer, it looks like they are going for a need for speed type campain, u travel globe doing events with a world/earth view kinda like test drive when u click ur race the cam zooms from earth view to track view

Pro- 

- visually stunning smooth consistant 60fps 

- easy to just race without haven't to browse though too many menu's to select the right car

- Realistic damage - you cant slam into other people to slow yourself down without suffering the consequences, also if you change to a really low gear while going too fast you will damage the gear box.

- Decent amount of tracks, both real tracks and made up(more visually appealing tracks)

- most realistic car sounds Ive heard in a racing game

- allows for all skill levels - you can make it so you don't even have to break and just steer

- massive amount of car customization - you can upgrade the breaks, engine, tires, tune suspension etc etc as well as being able to draw anything you want on it. 

 - on line features - auction house 

cons-

- the handling doesn't seem quite as good as gt5's

- don't like the unlimited rewind feature
