Forums - Nintendo - EA: Working in Café since August 2010

EA Magic with Nintendo Duct Tape skills will make Project Cafe shine! Would be funny if they release Mass Effect Collection on it or something lol.

It sounds reasonable and likely, and would fall in-line with what I would expect as a strategy from Nintendo to build third party support ...

Large third party publishers want to release a game to as many platforms as they can to lower the risk associated with developing games at their current budgets. If Nintendo gets in contact with third party publishers early enough, and gets development kits out early enough, it is likely that their next system would receive the bulk of multi-platform games from these publishers.

If I was in charge, I would also execute a strategy that was attempted on the Gamecube and lend certain third party publishers a Nintendo IP in exchange for an exclusive game in another series; for example, lending F-Zero to EA (developed by Criterion) in exchange for a game developed by DICE. While there would probably need to be some money exchanged for marketing support, the reason I like this strategy is that Nintendo could receive 2 exclusive games with limited expense.

Maybe Dead Space 1 and 2

I like that idea! An exclusive game from a studio like Dice would be really good!

I would assume games slated for 360 and PS3 as well. Could be Battlefield, Need for Speed, sports games, etc.

I wouldn't be surprised if they have a few ports in the works as well.
