Accurate thread title bro
Time for hype
The PSP is outselling the 3DS is Europe :D. Considering that the PSP is not selling that well, you can say that the 3DS is selling like crap at least in europe.

Ignoring the fact, that PS3 launch was loss related, and 3DS launch is most likely profit related...pretty much perfectly.

I'm not pleased with Nintendo's stereoscopic 3D direction. This is going to discourage development of 2D/retro-style games. After all why the hell would you develop on the 3DS if your shit isn't going to be stereoscopic 3D? The 3DS revolves entirely around 3D. And there is the high production costs of stereoscopic 3D development to consider. Sure you can turn the 3D off if you don't want 3D but the 3D technology is a big part of the reason why the thing is $250 to begin with!!! Nintendo handhelds used to be about retro gameplay on the go (GBA and DS are like NES/SNES in your pocket) and affordability and not graphics whoredom. I'm a big fan of Nintendo handhelds. Even when the N64 and Gamecube let me down and I went Playstation, the GBA (and later DS) was great. But I don't like where they are going with the 3DS.
I'm not pleased with the insanely expensive price that the NGP is going to have as well. This next generation of handheld gaming sucks. The handheld game revenue market share pie is going to continue to shrink for Nintendo and Sony and grow for Apple and Google even though iOS/Android don't even have a freakin gamepad (Xperia Play being the exception to the rule). I imagine I'm going to stick with DS and PSP for awhile (and Android... a lot of the smartphone games can get away without a real gamepad). Especially with the strong homebrew scene available on those platforms.
What he's actually saying is 'It's hard for customers to get excited about 3D when they're seeing 2D screenshots'.
You're misinterpreting him to make him sound like a dick.
