wow, do none of you guys listen to mainstream top 40? I guess I shouldn't have expected that from people in a gaming forum... but not even Maroon 5? wow.. lol

I hate Marron 5. I scratched my finger nails down a chalkboard once, and their lawyers sued me for plagarism, Ba-zing! But seriously, top 40 radio is an unending desert wasteland of mass produced schlock.

On an unrelated note, The Last of Barret's Privateers is the greatest Canadian folk song ever.

I listen to the radio because that's basically all I've got in my Jeep...but 80s music is the most recent for me usually...lots of classic rock and 80s music.

As for music nowadays, I do like Coldplay, Ben Folds, Keane...umm...not too much more as far as recent music.

The radio drives me nuts. Its awful. My girlfriend listens to it all the time and the thing that makes me the maddest is when you hear a couple songs and then people call in and request the same freakin songs they heard like 30 minutes ago. I thought the point of the request line was to get to hear things that arnt played 5 times a day.

Meh. There's a lot of crap on Top 40 radio, but there's honestly a lot of good stuff too. Sometimes people get all elitist about it, when they listen to music with the same basic appeal, but with poor production values which they think makes it "art."
