Not having to wait for the TV to be free to play a game is a huge selling point for me, the primary reason for my backlog with the Wii (and not getting anywhere close to enough play time) was this, and having to be in front of the tv to play. Now all I need is for BC to be officially announced and this will be come day 1 for me. If it ends up being not backwards compatible with Wii games, I will still probably get it, just not necessarily day 1.

probably the most oddly brilliant yet completely insane (i.e. right up Nintendo's alley) idea I've heard regarding the supposed touchscreen comes from none other than the Game Ovethinker:

actually makes a lot of sense the more I think about it.

Nintendo weren't into HD in 2006 cause the adoption rate wasn't high enough. And even now most houses probably don't have more than one, so hogging it with a console would be a problem.

that is quite out their in the thinking for sure but who knows e3 for nintendo is going to be big as hell ..... looks like nintendo might of won e3 already lol

the wii2 is catered for the hardcore nintendo trying to get them back this time so i would say it not child friendly in my opinion

At the very least everyone's eyes are square on Nintendo for the moment. Unless MS or Sony pull of something BIG for their shows everyone is going to be talking about the Big N for the next month and a half
