Forums - Gaming - Portal 2 Face-Off by Digital Foundry

I'm more suprised that the size difference of the game is mostly the audio after looking at the visual difference if anything. Both the 360 and PS3 versions can fit on a single DVD.

Xbox 360 PlayStation 3
Disc Size 4.7GB 5.7GB
Install 4.7GB (optional) -
Surround Support Dolby Digital Dolby Digital, 5.1LPCM, 7.1LPCM

Enjoy, core game is good either way, PS3 just has a few edges over the 360 version this time around.

As expected, the PS3 version clearly wins, 2 games for the price of 1!

This is one face-off, where the 360 version doesn't suffer, but the PS3 version wins on all grounds, visuals features, performance.

But it shouldn't matter to anyone who wants to get it on the 360. The game is the same.

why do people even care about performance?  the game runs fluidly, graphics DO NOT MATTER!

in fact, when I installed the game on steam after getting it on PS3, I cranked down the graphics as low as they would go because I Wanted the best performance.  You people and your obsession with graphics....sheesh.

no it's not, there's no steam support on 360.  Not that it matters, we all know the 360 version will sell the best so there will be plenty of 13 year olds to argue with on XBL.

The PC version will sell the best.

The game is the same, only the feature-set is different. If one doesn't care about steam or has friends to play with on 360, getting the game on the PS3 will do him no good.

I'm still stuck on if I should buy this or not. I can either get Portal 2 or Marvel vs Capcom 3 tomorrow, my problem is that MVC3 will only be played when friends come over, while Portal will be a more personal game. Is the co-op worth the purchase? I don't want spend all that money on a game that I might finish in six to eight hours.

Good stuff anyway, PS3 version edges it, but the 360 experience is still pretty much the same (if you don't include all that Steam stuff). Seems like this is the norm now, only slight differences between multi-platform games.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

funny, i dont see ign docking points for the xbox version.

wait they only do that for ps3 versions, not that this game deserves docked points, the differences are way to small to warrant that, same goes for 90% of the other ps3 games they take off points for.

i do think the ps3 version should have score higher becasue of steam though

good to see multis looking/running as good and better, both this and crysis2's results suprised me hope futrure games (next GTA, MW3, battlefeild 3) have these types of results

now can valve give ps3 owners L4D please
