Forums - Microsoft - ok guys wtf is this

I don't like PS3 games going multipltform becuase of the fact that it gets gimped. Either they dumb it down and take content out to make it play on or fit on the 360 version (a la FFXIII, there was a whole portion of the game cut out becuase the 360 version couldn't hold it), or the versions are different and people complain.   Keep it PS3 exclusive, make it the BEST damn game you can, don't compromise quality for sales.

THAT'S why I dislike it when exclusivity is taken away.

and FFXIII was garbage anyway. Compared to all other FF titles (including X-2), it was nothing but a steaming pile of Brahma Plop.  I don't blame that on the 360, but still.

And to clarify, I'm not a fanboy, I own and love all three (six if you include the portables and the PC) consoles, and have about two dozen games on each system.  Yes, I do love the PS3 the best, but with good reason.

As a side note, some corporate courtesy would be nice.  Sony covered Square's ass after The Spirits Within bombed, it would be nice to repay the favor....instead they sold out for a whopping 1.5 million sales.  whoopdee doo.

My Console Library:

PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, WiiU, Wii, GCN, N64 SNES, XBO, 360

Its more like 1.74 now and still selling. For a simple port I'm sure that's a nice chunk of change.

Lets put the 360 port in perspective. The PS3 doesn't own the west and the west is very important to major Final Fantasy titles. So getting this game on 360 was pretty logical and it paid off considering it EASILY became the 4th best selling game in the series. If it can sell like an additional 1.6 million combined it'll become the 2nd best seller in the series. Which seems very feasible.

Don't like FF games going multiplat? Maybe Sony is partly to blame for their blunders with PS3.

A game nowhere near completion gets rated, and on top of that, I don't see this on the ESRB website.

I swear, it's just like MGS4. SE, come out and say it already: Either announce the game for X360 already, or just flat-out say it's exclusive to PS3, and that's how it'll remain. But stop teasing us and opening room for speculation.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

I think they should not come out and say anything about it being exclusive or not. Otherwise we don't get threads like these anymore :(

Financially it makes all the sense in the world for Versus 13 to go multi plat, at the very least in the west since FFXIII did so well on 360.

Though personally I think it should stay exclusive since its taken 1 million years in development and lets just focus on finally getting the game out, and maybe port it later.

Either way Square just get the game done cause you've been teasing it for forever and I honestly think the extreme wait has killed some of the buzz.

Final Fantasy III was the American name for Final Fantasy VI, because FF II, III and V were never released in the states, so Squaresoft decided to call it Final Fantasy III, because it was the third game in the series to release outside of Japan. They decided to keep that name for the release on the American European Virtual Console.

That's... not what he meant.

The ESRB, or Entertainment Software Rating Board, is a self-regulatory body which categorizes games for the North American market according to their content. For instance, strong sexual content or graphic violence will usually result in a game being rated as M, for Mature. It's very similar to how movies are rated G, PG, R, etc.

This is a great example of the use of print screen, followed by cropping of the picture using one's 1337 MS paint skillz. This is traditionally done to capture lulz for later viewing, or as a way of citing material found on the internets.
