You're comparing the PS3 with the PS3 (which is fine) and you're comparing the Wii with the GC?

Sounds like cherry picking.

Might as well compare the PS3 with the PS2 and call the PS3 doomed.

Anyway I think RolStoppable was kidding when he compared the Wii with the GC.

He was joking, I knew. But I didn't find anything wrong about it. Both are consoles from de same company. Wii is doing very good compared with GC, the last homeconsole, but not as good as the competition right now.

And, why would I call Ps3 doomed compared with PS2 numbers, when I believe all the 3DS dooms because the numbers are low compared with its succesful predecessor comments are ignorant? I don't want to do the same. The circumstances always change.

...with a lollipop. Yeah.

An accurate lollipop.

But how big of a step up in terms of accuracy is it really? Judging from the sales numbers, it's negligible.

EyeToy sold like 10 Million WW Lifetime, in 7 Years, on a userbase of 150 Million.

Lollipop has sold 8 Million after 8 Months on a 50 Million userbase.

GTA4 PS3... lol

PS3 leading the home consoles. Seriously didn't see that coming after the sales last holiday season.

I did. That has happened for the past 2 years. Wii and XBox 360 have slow sales during the summer months and the PS3 usually does slightly better. Then the holidays come and Wii and XBox 360 crushes the PS3 is hardware and software sales. Happens every year. I think the only year the PS3 didn't lead the summer was the first year and the year when the 360 Slim launched.

Oh, really. Please...look at the 2009 holiday sales and tell us again that the 360 crushed the PS3...lol!

I meant 2008 and 2010. 2009 was the year the PS3 Slim was released. So of course the PS3 did better then the XBox 360 that holiday, but they still got CRUSHED by the Wii. Seems you guys forgot I put Wii and XBox 360 in the paragraph. lol!!

No, I'm pretty sure we didn't forget...that's why we only mentioned the 360. 2008 and 2010 are not the past 2 years so your original statement was wrong. You say 2009 PS3 outsold the 360 because of the slim...well, guess what, 360 had a slim version and Kinect in 2010.

Whatever the case the PS3 hasn't wont ANY holidays. Whether it was beaten by the Xbox 360 or the Wii, that fact remains it has yet to win a holiday. You only mentioned the XBox 360 because it was obviously crushed by the Wii the past 2 holidays like I said. lol!! . So my statement wasn't completely false. Just had the wrong year for the Xbox 360.

Neither has the 360, so why did you even mention it?  The 360 has always been crushed by the Wii, and it only 'crushed' the PS3 once.

It's behind GT4 because there are less PS3 sold on the market. GT6 will probably be out next year. I doubt very much GT5 will be anywhere near 10 million by the does GT6 is released. Most gamers aren't going to jump back to GT5 is GT6 is a superior game (which it probably will be). Stop trying to base sales from what previousl games did. You are completely forgetting about the economy, the recent disasters, that millions of jobless people in the world and the user base of the PS3. All of that will play a factor. Talk to me again next year at this time and we can review the numbers again.

I'm not sure why you keep harping on a GT6 release, and until such confirmation, that bit will remain irrelevant. Also, even with the economic situation, many games have come out and done just fine (some better than past iterations - like God of War III). I don't see why GT5 would solely be affected, and at this point, nothing suggests that it has been.

Second, I don't think user-base is playing a factor in GT5's performance at all, or it wouldn't be as ahead of GT4 as it is. It released during a holiday, and if nothing else (as in expanding it's user-base), it sold faster during that period than GT4 because of it being a holiday. Nothing proves that wrong at this juncture.

Outside of speculation, you have nothing concrete to back up why GT5 has a "slim chance" of not passing 10 million. Now I admit, I too am basing my stance on speculation, but with it being ahead of the most recent iteration that has passed 10 million, it makes for a more solid case.

You have nothing concrete. Just your opinion. Basing sales on previous games does not make sales of another game a fact. lol!! You're just speculating on what could be. Like I said, lets look at the numbers again in a year and see how close it is to 10 million.

That's the Wii effect. Sony just brought out a motion sensor device when it was already a hot item on the market. Obviously the EyeToy never caught on as much as Sony would have liked, but it still sold 10 million units. I didn't even think it sold that many. One of the main reason the EyeToy did so poorly was because of the terrible kiddie type games that was released for it. There was nothing hardcore for it like the MOVE and it wasn't marketed very well at all. I think I may have saw two commercials for the thing since it launched.

XanderZane, maybe the world should apologize to you that the PS3 is doing excellent for a third place home console that's been outselling the competition on a weekly basis.  Sorry... that you're so mad.

It's apparent now that you're selectively reading because I didn't say anything I said was fact (and went as far to say that I was speculating as well). Difference is, however, I did back my side up with more than just my personal feelings, which you did not.

Anyway, I'm fine with approaching the subject again in a year. GT5 is here for the long haul and I don't expect to near/clear 10 million until 2013.

It won't make 10 million by 2015. You're going to be waiting a long time. I never said you  'said it was a fact'. I said your speculation and opinion doesn't make it a fact. Halo Reach will hit 10 million by the end of 2013.

I'm not mad. I own a PS3. Was pissed that Last Guardian and Ico Collection got delayed. Two of the 5 PS3 games I wanted this year. Damn it!! The PS3 always outsells the competition during the summer months. I'm not surprised. The real sales in the last 2 months of the year however. They haven't been able to get over that hill.
