And all this things that we don't know are so important that in the end the "Wii2" could be around 7 times more powerful than a PS3.

But in my opnion it will be around 3 times more powerful than a PS3.

to round up: The successor to Wii will at least be more powerful than a PS3? Does everybody agree?

Good enough for me I just want to see ZELDA HD and i'm happy till the next round of consoles come.

Even if its only on par, as a Ninty fan I'll be happy. If they made great games like TP, MP3, SMG 1 and 2 or others with the Wii, I can't imagine what they can do with a PS3 machine.

AHAHAHAHA!  Come on IGN.  At least produce plausable lies.  Aside from the fact Nintendo would never make a Product over $300 in the current market, something that is 'near or slightly above the power of the XBOX360' would not cost $350.

There are a few things that don`t seem like Nintendo`s doing:

The price is nowhere near mass market and Nintendo has always been at 200-250. Pushing that up would be leaving out the blue ocean strategy - after winning it over with Wii, discarding it completely like that? No way.
The rumors that started with late 2012 seem more right than the latest ones.
As close as Xbox 360 in size? Wii was small because it fitted perfectly in the leaving room; it blended in  really well and now we have something of that size? That wouldn`t be good for it`s casual market strategy.

and you seriously consider that it would sell 50 more than the 3DS? $350 sounds like a reasonable price, especially since it would have no direct competititors besides the current gen.

Nintendo doesn't really care about the consumer as much as you make it sound...

They released the 3DS at $250, when it apparently costs like $100 to make, then I'm pretty sure they'll want to make just as much, if not more profit on the home console.

With all these specs and rumours flying about, everyone is forgetting the most important thing about Wii 2.

We get the chance to call 360 and PS3 last gen hardware with gimmicky and/or imprecise motion controls.

R700 is a considerable jump in power. How considerable is left to be seen since there are different ranges Nintendo can use.
