He's in England on bail, waiting for his appeal to be heard... appearing at various functions via Skype.

Recently he and the Editor of the NY times got into an argument at such an event.

A few stories here and there have surfaced about how he's basically a giant jerk in his personal doing things like staying over past the date that was agreed opon and just refusing to leave, bringing strange woemn back to the houses that agree to put him up, just randomly eating peoples food out of the fridge without asking, likes to physically abuse peoples pets....

It's all just a holding pattern though... until likely the UK denies his appeal.   Then he'll make an appear to the UN Human rights council.  That'll take a good 6-months 1.5 years too.

So... it's a long story for sure.

Haha, yeah. It's going to be hard finding an impartial jury for him. Even for those of us who recognise that he is performing a very important role in society, it is still very obvious that he is very weird and pretty much an all round jerk.

He was beaten to death shortly after.

Is that for real? If so... he has terrible hair.

While an fellow Australian, I am against Juilian Assange. There stuff that people shouldn't know, if there were no serects the fabric of global society would collapse into chaos. So releasing military documents from the US, UK ect are going to have alot of stuff on on China, Russia vice versa. and this is how wars can start people, i dont think Julian was thinking that leaking serect miltary documents could start some unwanted tenison between global super powers.

So overall He should not be executed because that is not an harsh punishment, but instead locking in an room with no communication with tonnes of serect documents and when he does talk to someone they turn around and say " are you man". He will then go into insanity because no one beleives him.

Well, this is the most ridiculous form of punishment I've ever heard of.

He released diplomatic documents, not military ones. In the course of releasing them, he revealed that there are dozens, if not hundreds of American diplomats, and diplomatic staff, that are dangerously underqualified for their jobs, and are not capable of rising up to the responsibility of their jobs. It is these people, not Julian that are likely to start wars. Who the fuck gossips about foreign politicians in your official notes?

11000 US miltary transfers were leaked by an US intellegents solider which was then passed to Julian assange and his wiki leaks site. An an Hacker found out who the US intellegent solider was which was different.

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

Sorry, but if you want me to comment on such things, you will have to provide links to them. You are right that wikileaks has in the past released military files, but a quick search on the internet reveals a mere 1 article which could be considered bad to leak, that which names a Taliban fighter who was considering defection. This was part of a batch of 90 000 leaks, 15 000 of which were not released, because they were deemed to be dangerous.

That batch of leaks also revealed widespread coverups in Afghanistan, including coverups of civilian casualties, friendly fire casualties, and rape of children by DoD officials.

The reason I assumed that you were talking about the diplomatic cables is because stuff like this is just proper war journalism on an existing war, it is not going to start a new one.

Which is why I find the "he was set up" rumors funny.  I mean, everything in his character suggests that it's something he COULD do.

If a government was going to set him up... they'd pick a more predudical crime that he was more likely to be convicted on.

Hack his computer and download children porn.  That's what you would do if you were going to try and set him up.

The real answer to your question is that people got bored of Julian Assange shortly after he was arrested and began complaining about Libya and Obama's lack of ability to reduce debt instead.

Thanks, lol. So, Obama's up for impeachment, or what?
