Forums - Microsoft - Umineko Spin-off “Ougon Musou Kyoku” to Get a Xbox 360 Port

IAX

Japanese video game developer Alchemist announced in the newest issue of Famitsu magazine that they will be porting 07th Expansion’s fighting game Ougon Musou Kyouko to the Xbox 360. Titled Ogon Musou Kyou X, the game is considered a spin-off of the wildly popular murder series, Umineko no Naku Koro ni, and was originally released at Comiket 79 on December 31, 2010 on the PC.

The successor to the Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni, Umineko told the story of a group of eighteen people who are secluded on an island for two days as they are all killed one by one. The goal was to find out whether the cause was another person or if it was a result of some unknown supernatural force.

The 360 port will feature three new characters that weren’t previously available in the PC version: Jessica Ushiromiya, George Ushiromiya and Rosa Ushiromiya. Other details, including any news on a possible localization, are currently unknown at this time.

Doesn't look bad at all. TAGGED.

Weird storyline for a fighting game...

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

only in japan...

Predictions for the end of 2011

Oh, sweet. I also don't put my money on a western release. But if they don't plan a release over here, the least they could do is making it region free, like alot of japanese developers have been doing latelly.

Best stop worrying about that - simply import an Asian/Japanese X360 from Play-Asia. It's what I'm gonna do soon enough ;)

Oh, there's not much i can play in japanese since i don't understand the language. But if the same does not apply to you, then go for it. :)

Besides, Arcana Heart 3 is just around the corner for both Xbox 360 and Ps3 in europe. I'll just invest my time in that and feel the gap in my heart for japanese 2D beat em ups. :p

Soon, soon! I'm learning it right now. Games like this will only help.

Besides, the 360's best Japanese titles are arcade games, needing no language skills. Explore that possibility.

Yes, that's true. But other than that, Xbox 360's a good platform for Visual Novels and life simulation (or Whatever category games like Idolmaster and Dream Club fall :p). Games like these need a good knowledge of japanese.

p.s: (what a stupid typo. I meant, "fill the gap", not "feel the gap")
