Either the next Sony or the next Nintendo not both, haven't decided yet. The biggest point for me is backwards compatability. If the rumors about Wii 2 are true (GC and Wii bc) then that puts it very high on my purchase list. If PS4 will have BC then the decision will be a bit harder. I dont think i will buy it day 1 though since i dont play as much as i did 5-10 years ago.

I will buy all the next gen consoles. We'll see how my opinion changes through the course of the gen.

I've lost most interest in consoles from this gen so I think my allegiance lies with my PC for now...

Well i think i'll be aiming into three consoles-

PS4 because I'm happy with PS3 and it will likely share psn account with it as well as trophies also if it has BC i'd be able to recover part of the cost and save some space

NGP - I'm 100% happy with my PSP and i need handheld so it's natural choice after overpriced underpowered region locked 3DS.

Third one is open question depending on the library it would offer (or rather the part of library it has that i can't play on PC/PS4/NGP) but if situation will be carbon copy of todays split I'd be more interested in Nintendo one or cheap 3DS.

Okay... so I'm going to need my Platformers dang-nabbit!

And with Mario (both 2D and 3D), Donkey Kong (2D), and Kirby, Nintendo has some franchises I just can't miss out on.

Sonic has a larger fanbase on Nintendo consoles too, but he also appears on other consoles (like Sonic Generations...), so I'll most likely be an owner of two consoles next gen. Not too sure which console manufacturer it'll be though.

So yeah, I'll be a double console sort of guy next gen... but the second console (aka Sony or Microsoft) will be after a library is robust enough for me to make a decision... or if a Sony/Microsoft exclusive Sonic game comes out haha.

Sony-Nintendo mostly, but I am going to eventually pick up microsoft's product when it is cheap. Funny because I seem to dislike the Nintendo and Sony fans on this site mostly, and seem to enjoy the 360 fans more.
