I think you aren't reading certain sections of my posts on purpose. I (again) didn't say the rumors were absolutely true, nor that people should take anything as fact. I said with the amount of speculation and rumor, it seems to indicate more of some truth here, and it's understandable that people are taking this latest round of rumors with truth. It's not about fans (which I never said) - again, read carefully:

Rarely will a site like IGN or a company like GameInformer give any credibility to a rumor. When they themselves champion the rumor, it does make things seem a little more credible. The only other rumor that I've seen rival this during this era was the PS3 Slim rumors (which while certain parts weren't true, most of it was).

Besides, why does it matter if people believe the rumors or make threads? If you don't believe it, stick to your end, but people should be allowed to discuss/believe whatever they please (so long as it's within reason).


Your claim was that because VG Chartz is apparently the only site getting excited over this (which you still based on only three sites mentioned), it magically makes this site's response more understandable. That was what I was calling on.

As for what does it matter, it shows how you all are just as gullible as many of you (in general, not you specifically) claim the "casual" gamers are.

Probably because past rumors about Sony and MS consoles turned out to be true (PS3/360 redesign, PSP Go)...but really, this doesn't work for Nintendo, we discovered the real Wii just at E3, the real 3DS just at E3 (still I remember that it should have mounted thousands of different chips, like Armada or Tegra 2, which it doesn't) and this will work for Wii 2 as well.

Plus, maybe someone thinks that graphics can advance forever, and that there'll be a similar gap between PS4/PS3 and PS3/PS2...time will prove this is actually impossible.

Plus, maybe someone thinks that graphics can advance forever, and that there'll be a similar gap between PS4/PS3 and PS3/PS2...time will prove this is actually impossible.

People should realise this is Nintendo. They'll do what they want to do, when they want to do it. If you don't like it, tough. Tens of millions of other people do...

Yes, it was pre-announced,, but all the rumors floating around completely missed its real features and components. Just to prove that until Nintendo speaks, we just know that Wii 2 is arriving, that's for sure, but its components and power are completely made up by people.

I won't believe anything until Nintendo confirms it but I have to admit that so many sites reporting this now is suspicious. We'll see at E3...

Then again, weren't the 3DS' specs made up up until just a few weeks before launch, when it was actually taken apart? This whole Unreal engine thing proves that. I wonder if SuperWii will be able to run it, likely they'll come up with an excuse

Actually the specs may be true but I believe that the controller they are talking about is not the main controller but rather the classic controller 2 or somthin.
