Also, as others have said, why have we fallen for these rumours and classed them as definite, like the post above? We know nothing about nothing yet. Wait for Nintendo to pipe up if I were you. It's only a couple months, I'm sure you can wait for that long...

Probably because past rumors about Sony and MS consoles turned out to be true (PS3/360 redesign, PSP Go)...but really, this doesn't work for Nintendo, we discovered the real Wii just at E3, the real 3DS just at E3 (still I remember that it should have mounted thousands of different chips, like Armada or Tegra 2, which it doesn't) and this will work for Wii 2 as well.

Plus, maybe someone thinks that graphics can advance forever, and that there'll be a similar gap between PS4/PS3 and PS3/PS2...time will prove this is actually impossible.
