the part that annoys me is you probably actually believe that. anyways, despite all of the talk about how expansive the wii was -- the data suggests otherwise. gc xbox ps2 = 21.75 24.65 142.87 = 189.27 ... and we know the ps2 is very under tracked. wii 360 ps3 = 86.32 52.92 49.25 = 188.49 |
eh he said without wii, So putting wii in the equation makes no sense, Without wii its about 103 million.

If they do release a new console, I think it'll be a terrible shame, I mean, there's so much potential in the wii that hasn't been reached at all, which might end up never happening with this. Bar redsteel 2, where on earth are all the other combat focused swordfighting games?! For such a blatantly obvious game to be made, there sure are barely any out there.

Well you have more imagination than a lot of developers apparently do. They see potential only in terms of specs and showing off the game presentation.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs
From now until the end of next year most of us will be ready. Right now though I just want Zelda!

What he said

Also what he said
I bought my Wii on launch and I played countless of hours and I will continue to. I do look forward towards to the next-gen and the Wii will always remain a one of a kind console in my opinion.

A l,ot still to cmoe from this gen though, and I don't mean sales-wise, but now everything plays games. from phones to MP3 players to tablets, and everything inbetween.
Sub in GC numbers instead of Wii figures and it doesn't all look so rosy now does it? The PS3 has had a massive drop over last gen, whilst the 360 has had a massive rise. But without Wii the numbers pale in comparison to last gen, and this gen may well have been one of the last as we know it without the Wii.
It was never 'cool' to play video games up until this gen. Without the Wii it may never have been cool. The story above is an example of how the Wii has drawn the family together, and I know I've had hundreds of hours of fun playing with the family, people who've never even touched a gaming controller before were getting well into it, that's something I couldn't have imagined 5 years ago...

yes because if their wasnt the wii not even 1% of those 86 million peopl would buy a console.
Being in 3rd place never felt so good
