Forums - Microsoft - Windows Phone 7 Mango update features video

Looks like in less than a year, WP7 will be pretty much on par with android and Iphone with features. Its also definetly getting a vibe and identity of its own in the smartphone market with its user experience and functions.

Cool stuff.

Yeah, that is one killer video! Now I can't wait to get my hands on one of those, and my wallet timing should fit nicely with the next hardware generation coming out!

It's really astonishing what Microsoft are doing here, the browser and all the new features, it looks so good to use! And they've added it all so quickly!

And as a developer, the tools are already incredibly easy to use! I'm ecstatic about this!

Looks good.

Finally managed to find time to watch the video. I am very impressed, I was actually not expecting much but to be honest that was pretty awesome. I can now see why it makes sense for Nokia to wait for Mango as it really makes the WP7 a very competitive phone and with its customer base this should see some real benefits for both Nokia getting its Smartphone foot well into the door and giving WP7 the sales it truely deserves.

I think the Quantas demonstration was one of my favourites as it demonstrated some pretty serious functionality that was actually relevant and usefull to Joe Blogs.

I was concerned with the rate of development and now I am actually thinking they are moving pretty bloody fast. Now if they can demonstrate they are working on the things that bug me at the moment such as lack of Task support with EAS, a crap calendar view to name a couple then I will be happier still.

Before any of that...how about custom ringtones!!!!!! :)

I thought they demonstrated something to do with ringtones. I was not really paying attention, I cannot remember the last time I used anything other than a stock ringtone. So long as they have a "Rinnnng Rinnnng" tone I am all sorted.

The sooner Sprint gets a good WP7 phone the sooner I'll be getting one.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

Wow those are HUGE updgrades!

When is this update happening? Freaking can't wait.

It isn't happening until later this year. I believe the only thing they've said is "Fall 2011". Hopefully they can keep to that timetable. These updates are huge.
