I'm pretty sure those figures are Japan only. So GBA after 2 weeks had higher sales than 3DS after 7 weeks, in Japan. Not surprising though really, considering the 3DS price. Should really explode when it gets to a more reasonable (compared with past consoles) price point.

Hmm Sony PSP 20,900 Yen on amazon japan

Nintendo 3DS 22,400-23,800 Yen for black/blue

Would be great if Sony dropped price after golden week to counter May/June releases of games for 3DS.

woah 0_0 I had no idea they are still priced so closely...I agree a price drop will do wonders, especially with games like Type-0 on the way

The Wii may be on a decline but it won't decline exponentially. That would be stupid to suggest. It's like saying after the holiday period if sales go from 600k to 300k a week, the week after it'll be at 100k, then 50k, then 10k etc. It won't happen! These things reach a limit then stop decreasing.

Then again, why am I surprised? This is the guy who predicted a sub 10k WW (yes, WorldWide) week for the Wii in June...

Yeah, I'm now convinced he's doing it for attention ... pity the lengths people go to .. I swear he should get done on some count ...

He did do this last year too when Wii was collapsing in the summer.

OT:

Amazing PSP sales.

Good PS3 sales

Bad 3DS, Wii sales.

The ball is in your court SONY with the NGP, the Playstation Brand once again rules Japan, do not screw up NGP launch even though I know you probably will.
