Forums - Microsoft - Namco has "great plans" for the Tales series

I don't trust Namco until I have the game in my hands...

Listen to Blacksaber, there is great wisdom in his words.

hopefully more tales gets released on 360 the console is losing its rpg king title. and anyway i need more fo my favorite series.

It has lost that title years ago.

Good move by Namco, PS3 Japanese version is still the way I'm going though.

Not really. PS3 for niche RPG titles. X360 is still RPG King for Western AAA & Eastern RPG games that are worth a damn.

How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...

Xbox 360 wants to KinectPS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.

You see Namco there's this little problem. If you want Tales games to succed in west first you need to start selling them.

Only problem that is almost all of those WRPG's have superior versions on PC, which is what I got my Mass Effect 1 and 2 copies on. PS3 actually has lots of exclusive RPG's, and eh, some not as niche as others and do sell well. 360 lost the title because almost none are exclusive.

how about they actually release them over here first?

To my knowledge, Europe has only got 4 Tales games before: Phantasia GBA, Symphonia GC, Symphonia 2 and Vesperia 360.  Even the first 2 were largely down to Nintendo, rather than Namco.  Scamco couldn't even be arsed to release Xenosaga I and III here as well.

Multiplat or not, the 360 still has better RPGs NOT found on PS3.

Having more exclusive niche JRPG crap doesn't make you king. Fable 2 and Lost Odyssey out weighs and outsold most of that stuff.

Fable and console exclusives take the win?

If I knew that people would try and make me laugh instead of try and disprove me, I'd never post in this thread.

if "out weighs" is by quality I think Valkyria Chronicles and Demon's Souls balance out Fable 2 and LO quite nicely.

I would consider 360 the king of WRPGs and PS3 the console king of JRPGs, and I find that hard to dispute since I can't think of a single JRPG still scheduled to come out for 360 and there really aren't any exclusive WRPGs for the PS3.  Which you consider the "king of RPGs" is just a matter of which type of RPG you prefer.

I think Lost Odyssey makes it a 360 win, its the best JRPG this generation, then there is Last Remenant as well, and Tales of Vesperia, Western RPG's are virtually tried, the PC has most of the ones of 360 and the more recent ones are on PS3/360/PC anyway
