Forums - Nintendo - NoA announces Q2 lineup for Wii, DS and 3DS.

E3 needs to be bangin'!

It's just that simple.

Nah, Wii pretty much has now seven games announced of any merit: Xenoblade, Last Story, Kirby, Wii Play Plus, Zelda, Dragon Quest, and Conduit 2. Of those only 2 have fixed release dates, two are definitely coming but probably not this year, and two have their worldwide releases in doubt.

The main problem though comes in the point that the games of any merit you listed are the games of merit to people like me and you, who visit videogame forums.

The general Wii user has a differing opinion, and its that different opinion that helps games like Carnival Games, LEGO Whatever, Deca Sports and Smarty Pants outsell games like The Conduit, Xenoblade and The Last Story. It's also that differing opinion that makes this lineup not as bad as what people are making it out to be. Yeah, before anyone goes and digs up my post history saying that the Wii lineup is shitty, think about it for a second...

Nintendo are catering to the userbases that are on the system. There is no problem with that at all.

Name 1 worthy game for Wii this year. And apart from Zelda/Pikmin, many games are doubtful/not coming/average/too far.

Conduit 2, LEGO Pirates, Wii Play Motion, Kirby... Just off the top of my head, and what I would call "worthy".

That's without E3 and with me not being in the know on Wii games. I'm pretty sure someone more in the know could name a fair few more games.

I'm also pretty sure "Worthy" is just an opinion, and the general Wii userbase has a differing opinion from me and you.

@carl2291  that makes alot of sense and when you put it that way, it doesnt look so bad. With that being said people need to just play on there other systems or just get another one if it bothers them that much

A publisher like THQ has more/better games coming out for Wii than Nintendo themselves (a third party publisher?!).

No

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
