Forums - PC - Where are GOW and Halo for PC?????

Probably don't sell enough units/heavily pirated.

Though when I checked the Halo 1 demo (yes demo) there were over a thousand people still playing it. I think Halo 1 sold well but Halo 2 didn't. That said Halo 2 PC servers are still online so u can still play it online.

I thought for sure they would do a Halo 3 port by now.

Gears of War 1 was a mess on the PC, lots of crashes, bugs, etc. I'm guessing it didn't sell well either.

Halo 2 failed because they made it Vista exclusive at the launch of Vista that many PC gamers didn't want which killed it's sales.

Why would PC players bother when there are lots of better games to play?

Didn't Microsoft reps pretty much admit it was because they want people to buy the machine?

God of War will never be on PC

I clearly remember PcF ( the ones that ported gears to PC) stating that it didnt sell well enough to warant a sequel port to the PC. Halo, well H2 was a mess, seeing that it was GFWL exclusive, so that had to alienate a lot of players to.

Bottom line: profit. Its just not there. And they probably rather have the extra couple of thousend sales on the 360, then port it and barely sell some on the PC.

PC gaming is dead, why put any effort into a game that will sell a few thousand units, then have to worry about patching all the issues and ect..

when you can simply put effort the next title on console and sell over a million.

if you look at sales for any big game, PC is aproximatly 1/10 of 360 sales on adverage.

Oh Oh, let's looks at DA:O. Or even better, L4D/2. Please look for me, I'd rather you realize how wrong you are yourself.

OT:

The reason why Halo 2 and GoW didn't sell well for the PC was pretty simple, and everything here said is true but it is much more basic than that.

GFWL. Microsoft expected me/gamers to PAY for a LIVE Gold account. They fully expected me/gamers to pay for some pispoor system with the bare minimum of online features barely implemented. That right there more or less murdered the games on the PC. As for why new games aren't coming out it's probably for the exclusivity. Also if people on the 360 noticed that "hey I can play online for free, and get more functionality out of my game on the PC" then the 360 may not sell as much.

Would have been nice if they'd actually made a port that actually worked and ran like a proper game. Even with patches the game still has a lot of problems on my PC. Not sure how anyone expects to profit on any platform if the port/product doesn't meet the bare minimum expectations; actually working.
