Crisis 2 is hopefully undertracked. And the Kinect and X360 hopefully undertracked, or else we're in big trouble.

Also it's hard for me to believe the Wii sold as good as the X360.

Its hard for me to believe kinect and the 360 are undertracked. There has been no good release of games in a while, and no exclusives in months

Yeah and yet they both were selling like hot cakes up until February (according to both NPD and VGC). And all of a sudden they're tanking. Doesn't make sense.

Besides, there's been several great multiplatforms released this year, more than usual. Ded Space2, DA2, Bulletstorm, Crisis 2 etc.

That was the kinect effect, and there were new games out for it. But now, where are the games? So i does make sense. MS is losing big on this one by having a really low ammount of exclusives. Imagine if the ps3 had no games in 2009, the gap would be at 6 million right now lol.

Like i said, it was kinect that carried the 360 all of winter, but now that kinect has a very low amount of games it is bound to die down. (which is happening now).

Well, at least I agree that Kinect is dying lol.

Kinect is dying?  Its still selling around 70K WW on a weekly basis with ZERO new software for it since launch months ago.

If thats dying I would love to see what great sales look like.

Your right, its not dying fast enough >:[

pretty mediocre numbers from everyone except the 3ds. I didn't think sales would lower from last year so much. Also Halo Reach has shown just how insignificant amazon is i guess. Its been $40 on amazon for many months with little effect. It gets a pricecut in BestBuy and Walmart and sales have risen to nearly double of what they were in Jan/Feb.

Kinect continues its plunge.  It is going to sell around  62-65k this week.  I would say that is a pretty signficiant drop in such a short time, especially since so many of those Kinect sales are bundled with new consoles.  Kinect isn't that far ahead of Wii Fit Plus at this point in time. Also, Kinect continues to drop several thousand in sales every week.  It will be interesting to see how low it goes.  Kinect is definitely not going to extend the life of the 360 in the way that M$ had hoped.

The Slim effect on the 360 is finally wearing off-- but it is pretty sad that the 360 is selling even with the Wii.  The Wii has not had a single big release in 2011.

Tiger Woods Wii had a pretty shatty opening.  Tiger Woods Wii used to be the dominant version, but this year it opened with only 20k sold.

Most anticipated games of 2011:

Uncharted 3,Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Rocksmith

Modern Warfare 3, Super Mario 3D

Not sure if I trust that number, I predicted 400,000 for 3DS, anyway Wii adjusted down, still it beats my prediction.  Let's see what E3 brings.

i'm a bit skeptical of the 3DS numbers a well but eh, let's just assume it is true until proven otherwise.  as is 3DS had a solid, impresive first week imo.

I'm alwasy skeptical about Nitnendo numbers to be honest,  but now VGChartz has adjusted Wii down it may be more accuarate now.

great start by 3DS in America, software sales looks much better here than EMEAA and Japan too

Yeah.. the 3DS in U.S. was like 3x's greater then in EMEA. I was surprised at how many 3DS titles there are in the Top 30 on the list. That's insane. 3DS leads the world, which is no surprise. I don't see that changing anytime soon. Might stay like this until the end of the year when Gears of War 3 or Unchart 3 bundles get released.

Wait, in the thread of Media Create many are calling flop because 3DS as fallen under PSP, let's not speak too early, maybe PS3 in one week will outsell it and we all know what it means...failure.[/sarcasm]

Really, great opening, and let's remember that Nintendo's strategy is not to sell gazillions on D1 but to sell long term like DS did...another Wii would be a disappointment, if 3DS sells software for everyone the games will come out every week and it will sell even more.

Another Wii would be a disappointment? What?!? Did you actually say that? lol!! Sony wishes they had Wii's numbers. Microsoft is satisfied with their numbers because 1) They surpassed the might Sony Playstation. 2) They completely outsold the original XBox by a large margin (even doubling Japan sales). 3) They are completely out of debt that the original XBox got them in.

As for DS numbers. I think the U.S. sales alone will stay above 200K for the rest of the year, as long as Nintendo keep bringing out 'must buy' exclusive titles. With Zelda, StarFox, Kid Icarus.

360 and PS3 seem to be suspiciously close in the states, will be interesting to see what NPD will sing, but chances are this time around VGC seems to be more on track. When's March NPD again?

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

Yikes. I thought that was one of the titles people were waiting for. Considering the MOVE has sold over 3 million units Worldwide by now, those numbers are pathetic. I wasn't expecting a million sold worldwide, but at least 200K

April 14th I think and yes NPD will prove if Vgchartz is on track or not but I reckon wii will be over by quite a bit.
