Forums - Microsoft - Kameo 2 Artwork Leaks

Eurogamer

Concept art for a planned sequel to Rare's Xbox 360 action adventure Kameo: Elements of Power has found its way onto the web, offering a tantalising glimpse at what might have been.

The visuals, which you can see below, showed up on the CV of former Rare artist Sergey Rakhmanov (as spotted on NeoGAF).

Dated 2008, the images suggest that Rare was planning a more realistic approach for the sequel than the bright, cartoony original.

Kameo came out back in 2005 as an Xbox 360 launch title. It's not clear when or why the sequel was cancelled, but speculation says it was shelved in 2009 so the developer could focus on developing for Kinect.

I dunno about you people but all I have to say to this is that this character is HOT!!!

The original any good?  Never played it.

They have a demo of it on xbox live, you should try it out.

Kameo 1 was one of the best launch titles of the 360, and I think it's quite overrated. The concept art is really good but I don't think it's Kameo. I hope Micro let Rare make another Kameo (Perfect dark, Banjo, Conker, Killer instinc, Jet Force Gemini as well ;)), I don't really like Rare focusing Kinect..... :(

That's quite a departure from the original design for the character

You have to remember it was a gamecube game.

If it's being picked back up then this is awesome :D

Sig thanks to Saber! :D

The gameplay looks a bit like Assassins Creed.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

The first one was pretty good although graphic wise not much more then a gamecube game with armies of copy paste enemies. It had some control issues but definately deserved a proper sequel designed for HD console(s). Much more enjoyable then banjo kazooie nuts and bolts imo.
