Forums - Gaming - NBA Jam On Fire coming to PSN/Live

i hope no one spent any money on the last NBA Jam because there is one coming to PSN/Live soon. Now they didnt actually say it would be the same game with extra features perse, but there will be roster updates and a co-op online campaign. Ill have to see more come Oct. to see how it looks

'Bout time. It should have been a downloadable to begin with.

Why on earth did they wait so long to bring it to PSN/Live?

Will wait and see what they offer for the 15 dollars (supposedly).

Why would it matter if someone spent money on the first game, when the sequel is coming a year after? That's like saying " I hope no one spent any money on MLB the Show 10 because 11 is coming out a year later and will have better features".

I can't wait to see what this next game has in store. NBA Jam is fantastic.

EA's still trying to squeeze some money from this license?     Good luck.   Probably have better luck on PSN/Live than last year's retail version though.

@Onyxmeth  you really wanna compare a retail 50 dollar game to a DL game that will most likely be sold for 15 bucks??? You dont see the vast price difference, this isnt even a sequel it would most likely be the same damn game with more stuff. 15 dollar better version>>>>>>50 dollar regular

The game has gone on sale for $25 or less at least five times on the EA Store following the bets EA makes in NBA and NCAA games. They take a side, like a Lakers vs. Celtics game, if the Celtics win the game goes on sale for 6 hours type of thing. A concious shopper that knows their sales, which are amazingly in the 50%-60% off range often times, can really take EA for a ride. I think I spent less than $60 total on NBA Jam, Left 4 Dead 2, Dante's Inferno and NCAA Football 11, and the MSRP on that grouping at the time of purchase was in the $160 range. I'm anticipating scoring both Crysis 2 and Homefront from them for less than $60 while both still sell for $60 a piece, sooner rather than later. It's only a matter of time.

Also it's doubtful the game will be $15 on XBLA/PSN in it's current content rich form. When it was originally going on there for this past iteration, it was going to be a version stripped of many of it's Wii features. Read up son.
