Its not about free games or internet cred. its about whats right. I have the right to modify my console, and help others be able to do so. Its like cell phones, they can be legally modified and jackbreak software is regularly available. What is the difference between a console and cell phone in terms of electronics? nothing, they both are specialized computers. So if i can modify my cell phone, I can modify my console. If the instructions to modify more cell phone is online, so should the instructions to modify my console.

A drug that is 100% safe?! Are you sure your not smoking that ganja? There is absolutely no fabricated drug that has no side-effects wether it be a quick side effect or one that results through multiple dosages. 

I understand you may feel that Anonymous may be the arbitors in an almost lawless world where anything can go if your in charge. But this is not the way to do it. The way that I feel would be best is to command and conquer. Become your enemy so you may best them at their own game. A much more civil and morally acceptable approach. 

Plus, getting rid of Copyright laws would benefit us? How?! That would make no sense since copyright laws influence a large spectrum of products i.e. music, written documents, and etc. And the one example you gave us, I can see a benefit for that drugs approval through the removal of copyright laws but for everything else, I don't really think it would be beneficial.

Let me ask you a question, if you don't mind. Where in all of this hacking nonsense does it seem appropriate to promote an almost respectable platform for your cause and then trash it just for the lulz? Hasn't this group not done that? Promote justice and then attack or invade something just for fun. I understand that the people are in the dark behind many activites that dictate their every lives, but we bring these issues to attention so that we may rectify the problem. Creating a DDoS attack against a large major corporation? What example is that setting? That companies cannot dictate how or what we do with their purchased products? Admirable. But that isn't the purpose of many other hackers who may rather exploit their products for other reasons. Reasons that I don't have to state for you to know what they are. An almost fruitless attempt as it is not a law nor it is a permanent solution. This group simply lives on the here and now. Never thinking about the future or the repercustions of their actions. As they stated, its just simply for the lulz. 

This isn't a Civil War, this isn't even a national crisis, this is a bunch of hackers getting pissed off because they can't get what they want. Consumers are happy with what they've got and now the 'freedom fighters' have come along to ruin the services we already have and like.

Anonymous has always done it for the lulz. They wouldn't do this if they didn't enjoy it. But with the lulz comes with it the acceptable knowledge that they are standing up for something meaningful. Every attack they want to do it because they enjoy showing that you do not screw with the internet or civil liberties.

It sounds questionable, but I know people who generally love being in the military because they enjoy the action overseas. So, they joined the military for the lulz and do what they feel is right for their families and country.

Thoses that commit crimes of piracy can be charged with theft. But the overall majority actually have no intension of illegal actions, rather they want to develop for the platform. Make it more efficient for linux, and code new software to run on the Cell. If Sony would drop this lawsuit, all the medical research centers that bought PS3s as cheap super computers will be able to crack open the PS3 firmware and use them again as they bought them for, cheap super computers.

well...one could say why did the south have to succeed? just because they didn't like the laws being given down to them they could just do away with them, Licoln himself didn't want to abolish slavery at first, he just wanted to stop the growth of slavery(if that's what you're getting at) from spreading to any other part of the U.S. and it territories Though slavery was a huge part of it it wasn't the only why the U.S. had a civil war, cotton was a major business for both the north and south, the south would send there cotton to nothern factories where they produced clothing and other materials, both made enormous sums of money, a reason why there were some nothern states that ddn't want to abolish slavery

at the bolded: that's a very extreme and double sword way of looking at things, I mean look at 9/11, those extremist and did nothing but cause a huge hole in the hearts of all americans, that sort of thinking needs to be done away with and why the U.N was created, we just don't pick up arms(though this does still happen in the world) be we should atleast try to settle are differences and disagreement like in a court. not commit actions without carelessness because the backlash can be huge and innocent people are most likely to get the brunt of attack. war should be the last dire option(imo)
