Forums - General - So I finally get to go to Japan...this sucks!

Ever since I was a baby their is one country I have had a severe passion for, that country is Japan. I have hosted 21 Japanese exchange students in my lifetime. I love everything Japanese, I am hoping to one day go on a longer term missions trip to Japan. But main thing is I have always wanted to visit Japan.

Well I will finally get the chance, but it sucks. On my way home from a missions trip to Thailand we will have a one to two hour lay over in Tokyo. During this time I was told we will be in the airport, I asked my team leader if their was anything we could do in Japan and she said we would be boarding our connecting flight to Canada. She said we would be going straight from one gate to the other.

She said we won't even have much time to even see the gift shops or anything, we will need to catch our flight home.

So my big dream to visit Japan and I'll only be able to look out the window or if I'm really lucky see a gift shop before leaving. Dang I hope this isn't the only time I'll ever get to see Japan.

I was joking with my mom that I would purposely miss my flight. But she said the church and my family would be pretty pissed if I disapeared on them. So it looks like I will only get a small glance at Tokyo!

Anyone else have a dream of visiting Japan, did you ever have a chance of carrying out that dream? Or are you Japanese dreaming of visiting Canada and thinking I am nutz?

I hope to visit Japan as part of a study abroad program in my 3rd year of University. I'm currently learning to speak japanese.

I would like to see tokyo for a month or so.

I heard Japanese women like white men.

I would much rather visit Thailand, South Korea or China. They scream Asian culture a lot more than Japan. Japan has become way too western-american for me anyway.

your situation sounds much like my only time in france, at the airport, running from one gate to the other.

...to catch my flight to japan.

...yes, i'm being mean

And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Is that some sort of religious conversion thing?

I went to a Japan a few years ago, it's a pretty amazing place to visit. Expensive though.

Is this trip your going on a religous thing? That scares the hell out of me, I didn't realise conversion groups were still roaming outside of Africa.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

I'm sure they try their best all over the world.

That sucks! Well, there's always next time!

I'm planning on visiting Japan but it's hella expensive. My best bet is taking a postgraduate program in robotics or something 5-7 years from now.

I'd want to visit japan someday. My real dream is to visit europe and london. Those kind of places.
