According to "the most visited site in the Middle East", NG4A (via N4G), the game was shown by SCEA at a closed-doors event recently revealing first details to a select group of press.
The game will apparently feature a full story-driven campaign with support for co-op play. On the multiplayer side, it will reportedly feature 25 maps with all the vehicles you'd expect, including tanks, motorcycles, planes and more.
The site says the game will "initially" support up to 32 players, suggesting that this number could increase, although that sounds strange to us.
Players will apparently be able to build their own bunkers, which can then be destroyed by enemy fire. The sequel is also said to feature improved controls, a better camera, and updated visuals.
The original game was a dedicated multiplayer affair, with third-person gameplay and a heavy emphasis on vehicle play.
The rumoured sequel sounds interesting, but we'll believe it when we see it.
