Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg has hit back at recent comments made by Sony on exclusive 3rd-party deals made by the Seattle firm for 360 the only way it can: by saying it offers more exclusives than the black behemoth.

Greenberg was, however, still full of praise for the PS3, saying there was great games coming to the system.

There’s no other platform that offers more exclusives, he said, speaking to CVG. Obviously there are going to be great games on the PlayStation 3, and we respect that, but our goal is to have the most blockbuster titles and the most exclusives and I think we clearly have that this year.

Last night, SCEA VP of PR Rob Dyer started everything when he said the firm was catching up on third-parties, as well as properly laying into Microsoft’s lack of first-parties.

So, when is Nintendo getting involved to make this a triple threat?

So, what do you think? I think if he is talking about this year, which seems likely considering the quote, then the man is talking crazy talk.

I think I need to insert a facepalm somewhere in this thread.

They're 4 or 5 exclusives behind and it's only March.

He's either living in the past or counting XBLIG, I'm not sure which.

Id say he's counting Kinect, of which E3 onwards there will be a lot of Kinect exclusives they'll class as blockbusters.

Hes counting the shovel ware Kinect games, crappy  XBL games, and then finally retail games...

He has more shit than the biggest bull, even i know Xbox only has 4 retail exclusive games, all 4 (i think) are sequels too and i dont even play it anymore...

Forza, Halo, Gears and Fable....

He could know more than we do about exclusives coming to the xbox360. Studios like Rare and Lionhead could have some AAA titles comming up, and there might be some timed exclusives from 3dth party studios. but I think they would have been announced if it really is so.
