Right. Must we really be chastised to say that we do not understand the appeal of games we have never played? This isn't an issue of hate necessarily, but of saying the games are overrated, which is a simple way of saying games you don't "get." And how could we be expected to spend money on things we already have a poor impression of?

Because that isn't what overrated actually means. Overrated indicates a value judgement whihch necessitates a certain level of familiarity with the material.

Zelda, brawl and SMG are probably the most overrated games ever. They are average at best.

The fact that those games dominated the best games of all time which Smeags created, the fact theat they're regarded as utter classics, the fact that I've played them all and loved them, the fact that many different gaming genres evolved from these franchises, and the fact that many people buy Nintendo consoles just to play these games, amongst many, many others.

Read what Gnac said. Where's your evidence then?

Same as yours, me and my peers prefer GTA&CoD over likes of mario/zelda.

I find it funny that wii people think nintendo games > 1st party sony games and ps3 people think the reverse! haha, obviously we're all objective unbiased gamers here...not.

Yes, they do. That's my opinion anyway :P and you can keep yours.

There way above Mario Galaxy and Zelda in sales. But around the same metacritic. 

COD I can give you, especially Modern Warfare 1, but GTA 4, no.  Even diehard GTA fans hated this game after a week of playing it. In honesty, Rockstar's best game made yet was Bully.
