Cryengine 3 is definetly the best console engine to date. No doubt about that. But in the xbox version the framerate would go into the teens in hectic firefights. I atleast want a stable 30 fps in a game. Thats the bare MINIMUM.

I see. Yeah when gunfights happen 30 is the minimum you can comfortably have and have a good experience.
Here is the big question then...
If they were to make Crysis 2 with the Killzone 3 engine on consoles, do you think it would look better, worse or same?
What about the other way around, Killzone 3 with Crysis 2 engine?

Without knowing what the respective developers could do on the other engine (polish, graphics, AI, ect), it almost feels like to answer that question, one would have to picture something like Killzone on the CryEngine being like Crysis and Crysis on the Killzone engine being like Killzone.
Both games have their own way of presenting an experience to the player and both come with their pro's and con's. The more linear maps of Killzone 2 and 3 make for really tight gunplay with great AI and cool set pieces. Don't get me wrong, Crysis is linear too, but on the other hand it gives you larger environments that look great with more freedom do attack your objectives, but the gunplay and AI are lacking.
Speaking of freedom, after not bothering with nanosuit upgrades till later in the game, I found out that with a combination like faster suit power regeneration, enhanced stealth and enhanced movement, I could stay invisible for so long that I didn't have to bother much with fighting enemies (unless I was dumb and walked too close to somebody). That's kind of my Crysis playstyle because I'd rather not deal with the annoyance of the game's gunplay and enemies, but at least hitting enemies isn't as bad as the first Crysis where you could put shot after shot into somebody and they wouldn't go down. During the last level of Crysis 2, I only had to fight when it was required to advanced, I was able to do everything in the level while invisible and without being seen.
I suppose my playstyle worked too in that I never experience any massive slowdown because I tried to avoid most enemies :P
